I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure the secure areas of the Chinese cities were the inner cities, which I figured implied more than just a few city blocks, and it was stressed that they were pretty much self-sufficient/safe due to "superior Chinese central government".

I mean, assuming the infection spread through air travel, i'd imagine most of the world's major cities should have been written off or at least heavily contested.

That's what I was hoping. I suppose I'm not the greatest OP because I tend to be pretty lenient on people when it comes to that. :p

I know, i'm not a very assertive person either, but sometimes the OP needs to crack a few skulls to enforce realism. Personally, i'd rather be under an iron-fist OP who at least enforces a measure of stability than a laissez-faire OP who doesn't take decisive action. There still needs to be a balance though, and so you live and learn :D

I tried to crack down on Ayrshire on the USA, but I don't really think it worked.

Anyhow, I think we should continue. I plan to lose some of Scotland behind the Antonine and all of Wales.

I know I've not been the best at RPing the apocalypse, but I've sacrificed Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, and all the smaller cities in that area and parts of Adelaide and Brisbane, plus I then bombed them to stem the invasion like the zombies were Japanese in World War 2. I also plan to have a major outbreak in the refugee camps.

This is what I thought being in yellow meant. That's why I took issue with China operating cities in red, because I saw players like Australia and UK evacuating at yellow. I assumed red meant screwed beyond repair, certainly not operating military bases or large enclaves. Probably should have left China and other screwed countries as NPC's, because inevitably when a player comes in they want to make sure they aren't absolutely screwed, when the situation should warrant it. We need screwed countries :p

I thought I did pretty well with showing the problem with fortifications. They don't work. Zombies will just pile up until they eventually can climb over, and even if you avoid killing them when they get to the walls, they'll just apply constant pressure, and while the walls may hold for a while, they will eventually break under the pressure.Walled cities are bad... really bad. Like I showed, one way to deal with the threat is simply to have people infect themselves and then go out and kill hundreds of zombies before they eventually have to write themselves off and blow up hopefully doing tons of collateral damage to surrounding zombies in the process. Then there is the use of actual live bait in overhanging or suspended bridges. Take out the bridge parts save for the center where you'd have survivors, then just feed and feed them as the zombies go and try to get them. Maybe make a way across that is slanted to make zombies fall into whatever lies below because of the pressure of the zombies behind them?

This is what I do dislike though, people not understanding that a zombie infection isn't easy to maintain, and that the threat of zombies isn't anything like speed or agility or mutations, but simple amounts of sheer numbers. While they can literally waste themselves in the millions and not have it matter, it only takes one infected civilian to start the whole problem over.

China is full red, but capable of operating major cities shows that the threat is pretty much over. Canada has two areas in yellow, so there really isn't a threat. When I joined, I figured we'd still be in the Great Panic with loss of control and still a dire threat to civilization. But it's essentially just people building walls around cities and then they have nothing left to do. There is no threat to civilization, because 1. we metagamed the entire WWZ response immediately and 2. level of infection doesn't seem to faze people, it's business as usual. Now that everyone has built walls along borders or cities, all that's left is to clean up the mess, where we just RP military purges for the rest of the RP, because no player will admit that the zombie plague adversely affected them, which is typical of nation RP's (i.e. unless directed to by a moderating party, no player will willingly inflict damages on themselves through loss or disaster).

Just my two cents, but it is an interesting concept i'd like to revisit in the future.

Agreed, we should have ic events that cause some people's "safe" zones to collapse if they make too many mistakes like spreading their resources to thin (aka building walls everywhere) or putting major undefendable cities in massive safe zones or even failing to adopt redecker and trying to save everyone. Also their should be conseqences for people who try to use nukes, chemicals and even convetional bombs on the dead because many wepons made to kill living people don't work the same for the undead since they are already "dead".

Yes. China will have to deal with nuclear zombies.

Also, I'm going to have my safezone in Wales fall, along with a breach in the Antonine.

I would like to actually finish one of these zombie/nation rp but in this one some people completely skipped the great panic and metagamed the entire conflict so your going to have to find away to prevent that

If you make a reboot, I would definitely join

I'd like to have everyone take control of their nations sometime after the fall of the primary governments have already occurred. In short, let their countries go to shit, then say they can take over and let them dig themselves out of the mud.

However, it's Great-Panic on steroids, far worse than what the book spoke of. Make it so they have to dig themselves out of the wet mud with their hands. Make them start from the point where their military assets are almost completely lost, electricity in those countries that have it is failing due to a lack of workers and zombies being stupid and running into stuff. MAKE IT SUCK for someone just jumpin gin, which in event will be all of us, and let time drag out, don't make it go so fast. I think the dude who played America took it waaaaaaay too fast, I was still governing what was happening in the span of three days when he'd gone three months!

well their is also the fact that building walls around half of his major cities in a matter of weeks while rescuing random North African countries is just a bit out of America's capabilities

Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded ultra-progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a journalist. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a generally optimistic attitude towards humanity in general.
Your attitudes towards economics appear neither committedly capitalist nor socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a liberal.
To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a considerate idealistic egalitarian with many strong convictions.
