Lothy: Scanners. Your exellent perception should help subvert the fact that no one has scrutiny. Active Augury.
Keeler: Put your back into it. You have good fellowship so you should be able to pull it off and give our ship a boost to ballistic skill.
Melor: I can't think of much. Sorry. You could try Jam communications.
Ghodwinne: Aid the machine spirit(Boosting detection)

Crew actions:
Fire weapons
Lock on to target
Ready action.

or an astropath only action, I have some... other uses then the ones everyone can do. I think I'll go with the ties that bind, even though it's tricky. (bred, page 200 into the storm book. + 0 willpower focus power test and need 2 degrees of success.)

Well, if we attempted to pose as the Ecclesiarchy, Felix could help quite well with that.

Other than that, a space battle is out of his league. He'd offer prayers to the crew but other than that, can't do much.

You can always lead people (crew) into other actions. On that note, we could use a few more actions in the IC. The turn rolls over on friday - i'll fill a handful of logical steps with crew actions if necessary.

well, my character was going to do 'the ties that bind'. since it involves a focus power test, would an invocation test be applicable beforehand? even if it takes an entire strategic turn it'd be fun to try.

Um.. Yes. One invocation test would cover the entire strategic turn, and would be your strategic turn.

o-kay. so then this turn will be invocation, next turn will be the ties that bind. glad I'm occupied for the foreseeable future. :p

Oh, wait, I don't think invocation takes a separate action. You take an invocation test, and if you succede, the effects of "Ties that bind" occur.

does it? I thought it just gave a +10 on the following focus power test (which is needed for the astropath ship actions, and is an extended action).
*will check the book on invocation after college*

*has now checked the books*
okay, invocation is just a possible + 1 psy rating on the next fettered test, so that's not nessesary or usefull right now.
could you roll a +1 willpower focus power test then, bred? need two degrees of success for the ties that bind to do anything measureable the +1 from my 2 psy rating is already factored.

Allright:

Roll: 3

wooo! that's nice. erm. normally this'd be a +5 bonus to any test made in the next round. would it be okay to round this to a +1 in our system then? maaybe should have thought of this before I did it. but my mind was rather busy with college stuff (which I'm nearly out of for the summer, woo)

you could use this one. I still need to read up on it again to see if we actually made a room yet or not.

ehh.. yeah. we didnt' make a room. since bred had to set the modifiers anyway. but with fixed actions like these (not shooting and such, but fixed actions with almost always fixed penalties). maybe an idea?

took the liberty of making a room already. 'nsrogues' what bonusses do you have on this test hetland? I know a +2 from your intelligence, and a +1 for the MIU?

I have been contacted because apparently a Rogue Trader might be necessary. So this is my humble submission.

Obadiah Black

Origin Path
Noble Born, Savant, Duty Bound (Dynasty), Dark Voyage, Prestige
Attributes
Characteristics:
- WP, ++ Fel, --Tgh
Skills:
Command
Commerce
Charm
Common Lore: Imperium
Evaluate
Forbidden Lore: Xenos
Literacy
Scholastic Lore: Astromancy
Speak Language: High Gothic, Low Gothic
Talents:
Air of Authority
Peer: Mercantile, Nobility, Underworld
Pistol Weapon Training: Universal
Rival: Rogue Trader family
Melee Weapon Training: Universal
Talented: Command
Traits:
None
Equipment
Good Quality Armored Uniform
Carapace Breastplate
Refractor Field
Best-quality Chainsword
Common-quality Bolt Pistol

Description
The House of Black is a noble house that has, to be frank, seen better times. Obadiah himself, is only the third child to the lineage. However, due to family tradition, the first child is sent to the Astra Militarum and the second to the Ecclesiarchy. The third would keep the noble house in the pride and prestige that it is used to, with the goal of restoring it to it’s former glory.

Obadiah is an excellent candidate for this post, as his earlier efforts have already made serious contributions to the wealth of his family before being given the Warrant of Trade. The contributions were mostly due to his unique combination of the study of supply/demand and having certain friends in low places.

Obadiah himself is a thin, reedy man with short black hair who habitually wears spectacles. His health has usually been weak, but those who judge him solely by this will often overlook the fantastic ability to bend others to his will. The fact that he more often does this with friendliness than an iron fist makes him a strange figure as a commanding officer. But those close to him would do better to remember that above all, his House and Dynasty comes first.

I get what you're saying, though he did give us some notice that he would be gone for a little while and TBH it would be bit of a nasty surprise coming back to find that he's been ditch.

So lets wait until after he's due back before deciding whether to have a new Rogue Trader.

I would agree with that too. he let us know he'd be gone a while, and we didn't protest then. would be very crude of us to kick him out now he's gone.
