I try and get a post up by the end of the week. Life is kind of busy right now.

I wonder what would happen if someone just burst into Felix's room while he was away from it.

I don't think it'd end well for them if they entered the study.

I'm guessing he doesn't like Joe either then.

Bred, can I combine a bunch of tests to make possible schematics of the ship in my head?
I figured it'd be a Knowledge Tech, Forbidden Lore Archeotech, Logic.
Note: I found out what Cogitators do. Hand held ones provide a +10 bonus on Logic, Literacy and any Lore used for sifting through large quantaties of data.
Also I think Logis Implants gives me a +10 bonus on logic and lore tests too.

isnt that a logic cogitator? there's tons of different sorts.

No, my Good Craftsmanship Cortex implants count as a Cogitator. Which is why I'm bringing it up.

yeah, it provides all the bonusses of one as well as the x2 intelligence.
also, as to the test, maybe a trade (shipwright) one?

That would make sense. Unfortunately I don't have that one. I'll have to find something to substitute for it. :\

Logis Implant is a combat assist. Cognaitor won't help in this case because you don't have a reference library to work from.

Archeotech won't help because while the goliath is an old pattern, it still isn't pre-heresy old. It's also still in production. Once you get some kind of scan of the ship, Logic can be used to extrapolate how it's likely to differ from the standard pattern (ie, extrapolating the inside changes from the outside) Knowledge technology, however, does apply:
Knowledge (Tech) Test= 5 (Base) +1 (Expert Skill), +2 (Exceptional Stat)
Roll: 5. Success by 3 points.
You know the size and shape of the vessel. You also remember the location of the major fixed components (i.e. the cargo bay, the plasma scoops, the bridge and the Plasma Drive.) You also remember the ship has some major arteries, as it was designed for crew efficiency rather than combat.

Calculus Logi Upgrade
Internal cogitator implants which aid in data retention and
processing. The user can rapidly sift through stacked data-slates
and parchments, applying intuition to vast reams of data far
beyond the capabilities of a normal man. This implant grants the
user a +10 bonus to any Literacy, Logic, or Scholastic Lore Tests.

I thought hetland meant this implanted system? not that it'd help, but just curious.
I'll whip up a short list for the people without access to the books of the implants either tonight or tomorrow.

Either way I passed and I'll post my findings soon. Also Annerette's next goal. Gain military support of the Adeptus Myrmidax, or Centurio Ordinatus.

the Auxilia Myrmidon do exist, even though we're not getting their support easily I'd say. and the ordinatus would indeed.. not be very usefull in the expanse. plus we'd probably only get their support if we actually found an ordinatus machine first. :p

Adeptus Myrmidax is my fun way of saying Auxilia Myrmidon. Cause it sounds better.

And I don't plan on using the Ordinatus machine(If we ever find one.) Far too expensive in upkeep. But... imagine how much the Adeptus Mechanicus would pay for a recovered war machine of that size. We'd all get good reputation AdMech, and who knows how much they'd give us in terms of military support, funds, repairs, ships, tech... :D

for the recovery of an ordinatus, I suspect we'd likely NEED a titan to even secure it. which would probably require a great gesture of trust towards the mechanicus before they'd entrust us with that.

the more of the recovery we do ourselves, the more profit we'll make from it. remember that profit factor also includes influence. though access to the lathe dockyards would be a great prize indeed. but before we start making plans of dominating the sector. let's focus on this goliath. :p

On that note, unless people have objections, I think I'm going to jump the thread ahead to entering the Battlefield system with the next update (Friday).
