Well, Saddam was running a police state while the threat of war loomed over him, and he had oil money. Hitler and Mussolini were operating in a state of total war, with their production capabilities too busy producing munitions to make anything of value outside of war. Germany ended up collapsing in WW2 because the demands of supplying so many troops took its toll.

It's possibly to exceed the 1% limit, but know that it comes at the expense of your economic development.

I noticed. I have no problem with you going over 1% because it kind of makes sense, but as Win's previous OP judgment said, it comes at the expense of economic development.

History: The Iberian Empire was formed after the realization that democratic Europe needed an alliance. The Spanish monarchy had the strongest government in place, and took the most initiative in establishing a cooperative Iberian alliance between Spain, Italy, France and Portugal with each nation having a democratic region which represented them each respectively. Will expand more if necessary.

Goals for the nation:To promote European goals and interests primarily. To better the Empire domestically, before helping blossoming democracies on the international stage. I'd like to have a solid peace keeping force mostly maintained by the Iberian Empire as well. Red Cross missions internationally in order to boost domestic and international popularity of the Royal Family and Iberians alike. Again, will expand if necessary.

The Empire Strikes Back!

Well, you may as well get your fleet in the area. Hispanic Empire seems intent on a sequel to the Falklands War (Not that you know ICly yet).

Noooooo...if we were to allow the Falklands, sovereign Cambrian territory since 1832 - over a century before the Hispanic Republic was even a nation - and populated by ethnic Cambrians, to fall into foreign hands, the queen would shit a squirrel. Since we can't allow that, we will vigourously defend the Falklands once it's clear that HR wants to start some shit.

I will also seek a diplomatic solution and a pact of some sort to end this whole Malvinas bollocking once and for twice. Perhaps the contemporary space agency in which the UKC is involved could agree to carry Hispanic satellites into orbit. So they have an information technology of their own, boost their infrastructure into the 21st Century. That sort of jazz.
