That sort of thing would normally work, except that we have the manpower to do genocide to most of southern India.

Well, here's my idea:
1. Sassinia makes a group of rebels, led by a charismatic leader.
2. They vandalize through Southern India, demanding freedom.
3. Allen sends in troops and destroys the rebels.
4. Sassinia goes guerilla warfare, then leaves unnoticed, leaving people thinking: what happened to them? And are they still there?
5. Many years later, Hollywood makes a badass CGI filled movie about their history, depictimg the rebels as badass good guys and your leaders as evil.
And you know where Hollywood will be based in? In Baltica.

Last time, Hollywood was in Pagir, in Bermuda I think. Bermuda or Iceland.
Anyway, I'd be fine with rebels, it's just that they're not going to do very much ultimately.

Oh well. I'm also planning to discover TV, railroads, microwaves, sliced bread, The Internet, progressism (our communism), satellites, the Hubble Space Telescope, Apollo, NationStates, History of Empires, nuclear fission, nuclear fusion, nanotechnology, console gaming, PC gaming, computers and more. You know, scientific victory stuff.
And Sassinia, don't name your leader with a very long name, like Arkhabadidja Nahusuberhammanishusa. People don't like it.

I hope you don't mean to actually discover them all, because you're going to have competition well fierce enough for you to not achieve it.

I plan to discover at least half of them, as it seems many people don't really care about half of these.
Right now, Baltica has first invented:
Crop rotation
Watermills
Printing press
Writing (debatable)
Amber stuffs
Mechanical clocks
National epics
Standartized grammar
Maybe something more

I'm pretty sure I invented printing press first, and what constitutes a "national epic" and "standardised grammar" is debatable (I had some very early rulers declaring that certain things were to be pronounced a certain way, for example). I'm also iffy on crop rotation.

Printing press yours, you say?
Link to post or it didn't happen. I discovered it in early 1500s in my summing up post.
Will it be in my language?Sassinia wrote:What should I name my rebel group? Any ideas?

(I have impressed my language as business/lingua franca tongue in my vassals, and even home tongue in some)

It looks like I was still first.
Baltic - 1466
Ruzojo? - 1500-1600s
EDIT: Dammit, logged into the wrong account again.

I don't really care.
However, we can assume that the same creation appeared in two separate places with no interaction between them, and that we both invented the printing press, just that it so happened that I was first, but you are still important.

I didn't think it was possible, but it seems he's managed to create his Indian superstate after all. I was almost certain it would be invaded and partitioned like it usually is, but I conceded, Allen is a very skilled planner, so good for you man you deserve an HOE Medal

I'm pretty sure that backdating isn't allowed when it forces an earlier post to be different, e.g. a battle's beginning being RPed and then the other side creating a backdated post that their army actually never went there. Otherwise people could not post for 1000 years, say, and then backdate a post to say that they had actually been producing a resource that nobody else produced since 100 years ago, suddenly creating a "nah nah you have to edit your last century's posts because you've suddenly no income"

But in this, it doesn't force to change an earlier post. There have been many instances where different civilizations discover the same thing without even knowing that the other already did it.
