Jerusalem has 82,000 Eastern Orthodox, 53,000 Oriental Orthodox, 34,500 Catholics, 48,000 Jews, and 285,500 Sunni-Shiite-Druze Muslims (We've been very unkind to the Muslims sadly) in this RP.

Here's the official map

@Glitter

Albania has a large Christian population, both Orthodox and Catholic. Perhaps som could move to Jerusalem and increase the Christian population.

I think Pope Glitter is more suiting, but HH would happily visit. Perhaps the Albanian Catholic Church could become a thing under the Byzantine Rite?

There already is: Albanian Byzantine Catholic Church

I would like to note, popular support against the czar is not anything like it was in real life, especially with the success Russia has had with the conquest of the Ottoman Empire.

Well then perhaps the larger Orthodox Church and that one could merge? You'd gain Papal Financing. Well actually all I need is your monarch.

Keep in mind he did give away the Holy Land, so there will be some annoyed Russians.

I don't think that's happening. We're still two different churches with different doctrines.

Well it is the closest thing we will get to it. Besides Scramble for Africa is much more catchy than Obtaining Minor Settlements in Africa.

I mean, if Albania was a colonial power in real life... people would be like "What's Albania?"

i feel the love.

I'd say stay out of Ethiopia. I believe Italy wants that one. Besides, if the much larger Italians historically couldn't take it I doubt Albania could take it on its own. Perhaps talk to Italy about a join invasion and division of the country?

size doesnt neccesarilly mean victory. The main reasoni want these territories is because of the Oriental Orthodox Church. No offense, but I don't trust a pope who is neck deep in politics

Right before the rebels in Ukraine surrendered, the leader sent out a ship to get to Anatolia. Obviously, it did not reach Anatolia and instead went to Egypt.

oh okay. Well the reason i asked was, if and when i decide to invade Ethiopia, could you RP as Ethiopia.

Wait, how did Albania go through the Suez? I took it before his colonists left. Dude didn't even ask first. Rude.

1. When was this?
2. Under international treaty, the Suez Canal may be used "in time of war as in time of peace, by every vessel of commerce or of war, without distinction of flag."

Actually, passage through the Suez Canal is up to the prerogative of the company that owns it, the Universal Suez Company. Which happens to be French.

I know this is AH but what about the Convention of Constantinople?
