On a curious note I went to looking for Leon Trotsky's Descendants. Found two for sure. One is the head of the Leon Trotsky museum in Mexico city by the name of Esteban Volkov his mother was the granddaughter of Trotsky. And he has a daughter named Nora Volkow who is the current head of the US National Institute on Drug Abuse.

NS Name: Videssos

Name: Oda Nobunaga "The Demon King" "Devil King of the Sixth Heaven (Dairokuten maou)" "The Fool of Owari/Lord Fool"

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Sexual Orientation: Bisexual (probably)

Grade: 13 (?)

Sports: Horse Riding, Archery, Falconry, Fencing (presumably) some other stuff.

Appearance:
Image

Personality:

Through his childhood and early teenage years, he was well known for his bizarre behavior and received the name of Owari no Ōutsuke (尾張の大うつけ?, The Fool of Owari). With the introduction of firearms into Japan, though, he became known for his fondness of tanegashima firearms. He was also known to run around with other youths from the area, without any regard to his own rank in society, something that gave an early indicator to just how eccentric the conqueror-to-be would become. Though it may have also been to hide his intelligence and potential from others. Due to his initial reputation, he was underestimated by many, and it would not be unrealistic to say, that even after his unification of Owari, many retainers and allies, as well as enemies, were surprised when he won the Battle of Okehazama against the Imagawa, with only 1,500 to at most 3,000 men, against Imagawa Yoshimoto's army of about 25,000. His own motto sums up an element of his personality; Tenka Fubu — "Take the country by military power."

He was ambitious, obviously. A bit of a dreamer- with the whole wanting to "unite Japan and maybe the world too" thing going on, and quite artistic. Can be sarcastic, whimsical and dramatic, with an element of idealism combined with unorthodoxy pervading him. Can be something of a ruthless and calculating type- with little problem killing his own brother Nobuyuki, as well obliterating rebellious peasants who rise up against him- not to mention sacrificing his own troops to destroy the enemy, with a taste for battle and conquest. Also quite brave, with a fondness for western guns and general European culture. Quite intelligent and charismatic, with a tendency to rarely pass an opportunity to further his own knowledge, abilities and power. An ingenious individual with sadistic traits, he also presents poetic barbs for his opponents in a quizzical and superior manner. He was affectionate towards his wife, thinking highly of her beauty and her position beside him. Though he may seem callous, he has been known to posses empathy at times. He rarely trusts anyone, and being betrayed by one of his generals didn't help.

Nobunaga was truly a rebel of his times who never seemed to fit the mold of his society. He cared little about what other daimyo thought of him and only made friends with people who amused him. However, his fickle nature with the people around him often distorted the truth behind his actions. Many accounts from his generals and enemies said that he was a cold and cruel revolutionist, though he promoted his subordinates based on skill rather than societal status. He either personally killed or ordered the deaths of many people, sparing no one based on age, status, or gender. He also had an eccentric taste in humor as he gave many of his retainers and children endearing yet somewhat degrading nicknames, such as Monkey or Bald Rat for Hideyoshi. His most infamous deeds include the burning of powerful Buddhist temples critical of him, and the slaughter of the thousands of men, women and children that lived in them.

Nobunaga's dominance and brilliance was not restricted to the battlefield, for he also was a keen businessman and understood the principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics. First, in order to modernize the economy from an agricultural base to a manufacture and service base, castle towns were developed as the center and basis of local economies. Roads were also made within his domain between castle towns to not only facilitate trade, but also to move armies great distances in short timespans. International trade was also expanded beyond China and the Korean peninsula, while nanban (southern barbarian) trade with Europe, the Philippines, Siam and Indonesia was also started.

Also possessed an interest in arts, architecture and music, as well as war, politics, economics and various other things, like Shogi, Go (the move "Nobunaga's cradle" is named after him), dancing, falconry, equestrianism, archery, guns and blades. He particularly liked Bon festivals and sumo wrestling and hired some of his personal aides to also be adequate wrestlers. Was probably quite good in bed, since he had twelve sons and seven daughters.

Brief History:

By 1582 Nobunaga Oda controlled most of central Japan, including Kyoto and the strategic Tokaido and Nakasendo roads to the east. Following the fall of the Ishiyama-Honganji, Nobunaga Oda had begun to extend his influence westwards for the first time. Two of his most skilled and experienced retainers began separate but parallel campaigns in this direction. Hideyoshi Hashiba started the pacification of the southern coast of western Honshu on the Inland Sea, while his comrade in arms Mitsuhide Akechi pursued similar goals on the northern edge of the Sea of Japan.

Much of Hideyoshi's campaigning was carried out against the Mori Clan, and the Summer of 1582 was to find Hideyoshi sitting patiently in front of the Mori's castle of Takamatsu, which a dammed river was slowly but very surely flooding. The defiance of the Mori had forced Hideyoshi to request reinforcements from Nobunaga Oda, who had hurried to send them on ahead under Mitsuhide Akechi, intending to follow personally shortly afterwards.

This left Nobunaga Oda perilously unguarded and that night Akechi's army wheeled round and marched back to Kyoto to attack Nobunaga at Honnoji temple where he was staying. The temple was set on fire and overwhelmed by superior numbers, Nobunaga Oda committed seppuku and his body was consumed with flames. After that, he ended up here, curious at the unexpected turn of events, and the fact that he seemed to have grown considerably younger.

Uncivilized rhythmic excrement!

I'm also wondering how they'll react to black people.

who? Cyrus would have seen black people. So Cyra wouldn't think much was weird about it. Oddly enough.. Antiquity was more culturally diverse than the Industrial era.

Well, yeah. Most of these characters have little to no experience with any race other than whites. Even those from the 1800s will be surprised to see "savages" walking around with whites.

I agree, it's interesting. It's because that's before colonialism and the "European Age".

Richard the Lionhearted, Joan of Arc, and Charlemagne may be very confused as to Cyra's religion.
