Against the wishes of the Mainframe, a group of rowdy military men landed in Hanoi, and officially took it over, declaring the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, and the Communists quickly took over North Vietnam. The Second Vietnam War had begun.

The 1st Division is in Laos right now sir." Diem replied, "Send over the 9th Division to assist them in Laos. We need to rebuild Saigon and retake the north."

When the US heard about the successful secession of the North from the South, King Washington immediately ordered for massive amounts of weaponry and Brandenburg-class battleships to the North, as well as supplies, ammunition, and dinosaurs to be sent to the North as well. He also ordered for a task force of battleships and destroyers to blockade South Vietnamese ports.

As the Second Vietnam War escalated, Washington decided to directly support the North against the South. 250,000 troops and over 2,000 military advisors were sent, respectively, to Saigon, and North Vietnam. The attack on Saigon would cripple the South Vietnamese fight against the North, and potentially win the war for the North.
