The year is 2398 and you are a tribesman of a village, ready to restart the birth of civilization. Your resources are few, but with luck from The Mainframe you may just be able to pull it off. Will your civilization stand the test of time? Or perish like all the others have.
What the heck happened between 2014 and 2398?: Well, with the decline of the world-wide economy after the Greece and United States budget problems, a massive earthquake shook the Western coast of the United States, causing states along the border to become severely damaged. After this incident, Oil prices rose to $90 per gallon, causing oil wars across the world. The first to fall was Egypt which was conquered by a joint NATO offensive, followed by other Saudia Arabian countries. Then in South America, the different countries declared war on each other and that caused oil prices to rise up due to the destruction of Venezuelan Oil Resources.
In the year 2020, with the endless amount of wars and protest engulfing the globe, the United Nations was dismantled as none of the members no longer wanted to go by their regulations do to them losing a very big profit, and soon the European Union fell, but established itself as a whole country to try and preserve itself in this war. When the year 2040 came, America controlled South America, the Caribbean, and all of North America and established itself as the United American States, with Asia forming a federation between them for defense. By 2045, a station coined by the Catholic Pope "The Mainframe" was established in orbit, as religious order had all, but collapsed, Catholics, Protestants, and many other religions fled to the station, and dedicated themselves to a new religion of "Protection and Prosperity". Three years after, with oil still needed to fuel everyones economy, the United States launched Nuclear Weapons at the others to try and rid them from the earth, so all the remaining oil would be theirs. This led to the utter and complete destruction of all countries, and only small nomadic tribes.
In 2398, those large numbers of people are ready to retake the wasteland, due to two centuries' worth of repopulation. With help from the Mainframe, purification technologies of Nuclear Wastelands could be reverted, and the earth could be reset in certain areas. All known technology is aboard the Mainframe, along with futuristic technologies that are stored in the databanks as most of the libraries on earth are destroyed. With the Mainframe as guidance, how will your new nation fare? And for the confusion to be cleared up, even though the year is 2398, it is restarted back to 1900 due to the loss in Technology from later ages.
Below is the official map of this RP. It shows major powers and nations of the world of 2398.
Here's a list of the nations on the map (and their players). This is not a list of the only countries allowed to be played.

Don't go all super power, most of your aid will come from the Mainframe, if your friendly the Mainframe will help you, if your not your on your own.
Last but certainly not least, there are a few rules to go over:
Timescale:
Each turn will constitute six months. Two turns will complete a year of gameplay. I will conclude every turn with a new post informing all players of the progress done in matter of technology, industry, economy, land gains (if any), etc. Players may request me to end or continue a turn in case things are not progressing at the desired speed. Be aware that ship transport, moving your armies and sending telegrams is not very quick to do.
Historical Accuracy:
What does this mean? Well it means basically, every new nation will start out with late 18th century equipment. Which we will start from 1790 equipment and advance. Of course, the Mainframe has futuristic equipment as they salvaged the books and such, but they will be weary of trading their secrets with you. Keep in mind, even though your IC character may remember a tank, dosen't mean they know how to build it properly.
Waging War:
Any conflict that is started must be waged reasonably and realistically. Also be aware of the terrain you are invading as that is a determining factor in battles. Troop mobilization on a nationwide scale takes time as well, at the very least two weeks for the most advanced nations just in the home region depending on population.
Technology:
Most of the Technology is obtained by personal research on your end, however some of you can trade some valuable things with the Mainframe that they may request from nations on the ground to fufill, and if you do they may give you blueprints or such. Keep in mind, the Mainframe will only give you reasonable items, so don't expect power armor or such (Even though they have it), because we want to give every nation a small advantage, but not as much to bring certain defeat to another.
Know How to Lose:
If you lose, say good game and go on. You can request to play as a revolutionary with new goals in the country you lost power in if you wish, just be realistic and don't go out there doing superman style politics/warfare.
Meta-Gaming:
What is meta-gaming? If something is talked about in OOC, for example a invasion plan for Afghanistan. I don't want someone going in there and placing troops in the way of the plan just from what they read in OOC.
The Mainframe:
What exactly is The Mainframe? The Mainframe is going to be my OP faction, that doesn't control any Territory, It basically is the "New God" of earth, and it watches over the planet to see how it evolves. From time to time, we may require fuel, or food ect, to bring up to our Space Station if things go wrong as we still rely on Earth for resources to keep the station going. It has basically purified the Entire earth, so that all remains of the Nuclear Wasteland are gone and it is just a grassy earth. The Mainframe can trade you seeds for trees, plants, and a special seed to get ponds and lakes going for starters ect, but everything else is up to you. Be advised, the Mainframe can be your best friend, or worst enemy. Although they will never invade you for wars you start on earth, if you cause any major problems that threatens the prosperity of the mainframe, they can invade your terriotory to make up the deficit for lost goods, but that is very war or they can refuse to do business with you, which will probably put you behind every country that likes the Mainframe. Be advised, you can also have your Head of State or any Minister as a Historical Figure. The Mainframe is RPed to be able to bring historic characters to assist you, like George Washington, Queen Elizabeth, Hirohito, or any famous politician, movie star, whatever. If they were in the past, you can have them in your country. To contact The Mainframe, they are watching you, and all you have to do to get their attention is to activate "Project Beam". Project Beam is a remote with only one button, it is the only thing in your country that is high-tech, and should be guarded heavily as it is a direct link to your grand ally/enemy. If you lose it, you will lose contact with The Mainframe, and will not be able to conduct business with them. When the button is pressed, The Mainframe will dispatch a ship down to speak to your leader. So don't lose it!
The Overseer:
The Overseer is a God, that is not seen nor can be controlled by even the Mainframe, although nothing it does affects the Mainframe directly, and it is not there to harm The Mainframe. The Overseer is chosen from the players that have a nation, and this player will have to be neutral in all encounters and scenarios and will have the power to do the following: Create plagues upon nations, Increase or decrease partisans in a occupied nation (Allows for Rebellious organizations to be applied for in countries), have a natural disaster occur in any nation, create bad harvest or times of plenty, and then also be the one to decide which nations win which battles.. The God player will also play as indigenous people of unclaimed areas. The God Player will be chosen when the IC starts after 10 post depending on who I think can handle it within a realism setting.
Current Overseer: [nation][/nation]
Nuclear Wasteland:
Wheres the fun of being a Nuclear Wasteland in a setting like this? Your answer, we are not! The Mainframe purified all nuclear areas, and the terrain is back to 2014 terrain and climate. You just have 2298 equipment although you all remember the Nuclear Wasteland, you are now to colonize and re-civilize society.
Unclaimed Regions:
Regions that are unclaimed by people will be Rped as bandits or Indians, and you will have to fight them and then colonize in a realistic fashion. I will allow the Overseer when we get one to control those groups, but at the moment a random player will RP them.
Historical Characters:
Yes, you can have historical rulers ect, but you got to take some things into account. Even though The Mainframe has teleported him in, if he was born in 1650 and died in 1690, he will never know what happened after. So therefor, he will be a alien to 1790 technology so you will have to RP that for him. Also, there is a max of four Historic characters which two of them are taken if you chose a Historic leader for your Head of State and Head of Government. They can be your foreign minister, chief of military, whatever. If you have any questions about this, ask me.
Navy:
As it has been ten years and you have been focusing on getting the land buildings done, you have no navy. You only have small fishing ships, that you can load mabey 10-20 armed men on for costal patrol, not going to other foreign lands. So you will need to get naval officers trained, build the shipyards, then build the navy.
