If possible, they Reap the soul at the exact moment that they're body dies. However, in cases where that's impossible (or at least extremely difficult), such as when a person jumps off of a cliff, they wait until after the body is dead. In cases in which the death would be unusually traumatic for the soul, however, as well as in cases where the body is completely destroyed, they attempt to collect the soul before the body's death, usually by a couple of seconds and generally no more than a minute before. When an unscheduled death occurs (such as when someone is attacked by a poltergeist, for instance) they must wait until after the body is dead, however.

That's gotta suck that's at least 3-5 minutes of being riped to shreads longer if the thing is playing with them.

Name: Charlotte Sadoma
Age at death: 27
Total Age: 67
Gender: Female
Normal Appearance: Charlotte
Death Form: There is no difference.
Personality: Very relaxed personality, she always tries to find the good in people. She's a gentle soul, but tends to get a little overenthusiastic when it comes to teaching. She is a strong advocate for only reaping those who's time has come, and does her best to keep her opinions away from her work. She does not get along with people who simply reap others because of personal bias.
Ability: Bureaucratic Nightmare: Prevents certain objects from being used and they break if forced to work, door handles will break, swords will be locked inside their sheathes, axe edges are dulled. The strength and area of effect is determined by her during casting.
Unique Life Spell: Red tape labyrinthe: Prevents certain magical abilities from being used.
Unique Death Spell: Code black lockdown: The target's body starts shutting down slowly. First muscles, then lungs, then heart, then the brain. Works surprisingly well on polterghiests and demons.
Death Weapon in Reap Mode: A grenade shaped like a skull. Blast radius is increased base on how many polterghiests or demons detected.
Death Weapon in Death Mode: Creates a body double of Charlotte, which can move, speak and otherwise mimic her behavior. However, if a demon or poltergheist is detected, the body double will detonate.
Bio: Bio coming soon... IN 3-D!!!

@Fraire: Sensor is correct; a reaper's weapon is part of their soul, and students learn how to summon it in their first week of school.
