Well, I actually would like to have one character live through this rp. So, we could just have Jonathan get the shit beat out of him to where his life is on the brink, and thus uncertain. Then we could have Calvin make his rebellion at that point where Hotaru is still extremely stressed and worried, therefore making her tear Calvin apart.

Well my envious/power-hungry character is aware that if Hotaru dies then the vice president would merely take over for the time being. It would require effort on Mirna's part to a great degree to secretly kill all of the successors up to her. Calvin of course would allow for a quick usurping of the leadership. The biggest issue being that Mirna would have to usurp Calvin after that.

Also, where do you want to take Jack and Jonathon? Hotaru seems to already be on a mission. Shall we have them fight some poltergeists?

Death is certainly not being kidnapped. Heaven doesn't exist in this setting, and the only "light beings" are beings made from life energy -- that is, souls (whether living or dead). Aeons ago, the life beings created too much shit in their world, then the death beings were like "whoa, wtf you guys, we have to keep the balance," and crossed Limbo to destroy some life beings to rectify it. Then the life beings were like "omg the fucking death beings are fucking massacring us" and started to fight back. Of course, being unable to destroy anything completely, they decided that they needed a way to control death energy. So they went to Limbo and experimented. The result: the first generation of reapers. Long story short, the reapers began killing off the death beings until only Death himself was left. He then used his power (which, btw, is mind control) to prevent them from killing him and told them that to keep the balance (though revenge for his comrades may or may not have been a factor) all life beings would have to become mortal and die every so often, creating the cycle of reincarnation.
