It seems like a resemble place for two forces of ships to be encountering each other.

Although i am unsure how Tywin would react to a fleet of warships speeding for King's Landing, he may very well decide to return to the capital that very instant instead of returning to Lannisport and Casterly.

You can expect a Dornish response if a large Lannister-Blackfyre fleet appears on our coast.

With what though?

Lannisters are allies, so the response wouldn't be that kind.

Dorne may not be a sea power, but she still has warships.

What makes you think the North and South will hash it out? To me it looks like this'll be a Lannister/Stark/Baratheon war. Meaning it would likely be a Lanniser/Martell- Baratheon/Tully - Stark/Hardyng Stark with a likely civil war in the reach. Meaning everyone will be involved.

The Vale will abstain form conflict unless conflict chooses to come to us, or the Valestarks become inclined to do a 180 on policy.

I wish I could do that. Unfortunately, the Riverlands are like Belgium; invaded in every major war.

So long as the Yronwoods can hold the Bone Pass, every Dornishman who dies defending Dorne will have the blood of 20 invaders on his hands.

Why does Garth Hightower have a sphere of influence in the Stepstones at precise the point where:
A) A generally large sum of money is held,
B) "Royal" documents of considerable standard exist,
and,
C) Two dragon eggs (which seem to be casually floating about) happen to be?

Well, the ages might have turned them to stone. If Rhaenys/Aegon do manage to hatch them, very unlikely, they will have little effect of the war for the near time, as dragons take time to grow.

Or east of the Stormlands, south of Tarth. Also it will not be the entirety of the Blackfyre navy, as it is not to be a landing invasion, but instead some troops have been left in the Stepstones, some were sent with Aurane Velaryon to the Free Cities. Daemon would most likely hold most of the dromonds, including the eight hundred oar Helfyre (Lord Tywin), and some ships beside that.

come on guys. Quit testing the water and declare your intent for the throne. If no other contender declares for the throne, then Blackfyre will get it by default.

Also, Jade, who greeted the Hightower ambassador? Rhaenys (the sister of Daemon), Aegon (the brother of Daemon) or both?

I would, but I don't have a claim. I could try pressing the Baratheons, but I'm not sure whether they'd back me in pressing their claim.

If you are heading to the Crownlands aka King's Landing, you would need travel northward which is good because while our direction may be opposite our course would more or less set us in meeting in the Narrow Sea.

Also 800 oar? That's bigger then anything presented into GOT, Behemoth would be a better name.

In your post, you specify that Rhaenys Blackfyre was meant by "several men in black" at the Stepstones. If you are trying to imply that these ships belonged to House Hightower, I would have to inquire where House Hightower came to pose two dragon eggs. Also, if it is House Hightower, what percent of wealth would you say that is to them?

Well, it is the new name for the former flagship Lord Tywin, which sported twice as many oars as the last flagship, King Robert's Hammer, which had 400 oars. And perhaps going with the rest of the dragon names for the other ships, then perhaps Balerion would be a nice name.
