Wardens are based upon geographic location, yes, but not every region needs a Warden. They're mostly there to lead against outside foes. The Warden of the South was to protect against Dornish raids, the North to protect against Wildlings and whatnot, the West against the Ironborn, and the East against foes coming from Essos.

"Those who reached my boundary, their seed is not; their hearts and their souls are finished forever and ever. As for those who had assembled before them on the sea, the full flame was their front before the harbour mouths, and a wall of metal upon the shore surrounded them. They were dragged, overturned, and laid low upon the beach; slain and made heaps from stern to bow of their galleys, while all their things were cast upon the water." - Ramesses III., Battle of the Delta

Yes, please do so. I set the stage back, at twenty-days-after-death, in time so that the boats could arrive approximate to the time the RP is currently at. That is, of course, under the assumption that Lady Denyse fears for the well-being of her husband and pervasive nature of the killer. The decision, and its impact, is entirely under her control.

I have (what people will see as) empirical evidence supporting that Garlan was murdered, and all I can do is attend the crowning ceremony? I am the only that finds that logic a tad bit suspicious?
