Same story. 'Hussars', remember?

Nomadic people and nations with long cavalry tradition and history will always hate anti-horse people :p
"Those who reached my boundary, their seed is not; their hearts and their souls are finished forever and ever. As for those who had assembled before them on the sea, the full flame was their front before the harbour mouths, and a wall of metal upon the shore surrounded them. They were dragged, overturned, and laid low upon the beach; slain and made heaps from stern to bow of their galleys, while all their things were cast upon the water." - Ramesses III., Battle of the Delta

...

Seriously? Why do I have to dedicate an entire character's story arc to figuring out the Queen was murdered, nonetheless find out who exactly did it, yet Jade can just handwave that shit in? It's rather frustrating.

Okay, line draw time. Garlan's spy network is a master piece, and was his best weapon. You think he leaves that lying around? You think he's going to let anyone--let alone a Stark!--get within a hundred feet of that? No. Stark didn't have a single clue what Garlan was up to. As a matter of fact, the only person I could credit with actually knowing is Oberyn Martell, simply because he was Master of Whispers. And I'm not even sure if Oberyn Martell knows.

Regardless, I have something else to tell you. Garlan's spy network had a failsafe for this very purpose. You think he's going to let his death stop its functioning? The failsafe moves to Margaery Tyrell, who is notified of its existence. The current failsafe controller is Spy Zero (to Garlan), or by any other name following a logical pattern (to everyone else). He resides in King's Landing.

Also, should anyone come to control the spy network, I would have to explain to you how messages are moved.

no one even mentioned the spy network. It is assumed that every master of whispers had spies, be it garlen or the spider. If your still interested might as well reapply for the tryells. i killed off your main char, but you still have Margery and boy Loras

Yeah, Oberyn only learned from the best. Studying the methods of Varys and adding in his own twists.

Garlan Tyrell never publicized his spy network. Margaery "knows" it exists, in the same sense you know air exists. Even the spies themselves no very little, with a self-defeating system in place in which no spy knows the name of the other. Even Garlan knows only a few important names. Instead, the names are coded. So I assure you, not Garth Hightower nor Lord Stark has the slightest clue that Garlan Tyrell had a spy network.

And, if someone could fill me on the politics of Westeros at this time, that would be great. I've only followed the Reach. Once I have that information, I may reapply, so long as @Lunas and @New Frenco are okay with that.

As i said before, it is expected that a man of Galan's position possess a spy network. No one knew for sure, but every suspected, which is good enough for me as no one will contradict my claims.

Yes, they are camped a few miles from it.
And who are you, the proud lord said,
that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat,
that's all the truth I know.
In a coat of gold or a coat of red,
a lion still has claws,
And mine are long and sharp, my lord,
as long and sharp as yours.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke,
that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall,
with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

Your use of the word "no one" is surprisingly inaccurate. I have mentioned, I believe several times, that the network had a failsafe. I am really itching to get back into the RP just for this reason now. If you don't tread carefully, I may just have to remind you that lies are quiet painful once the liar is exposed.

I know, and i already moved to assume command of their forces but the CO-OP didn't like that one bit.

Believe me if i had my way i would have had the Blackfyre fleet away from Dragonstone by day thirty one, But well *Shrug*

Nothing i can do.

And of course Tywin is stuck along with them, so i am unhappy about it as well.

Can't move the feast either.... Was going to have the Blackfyre approve of the marriages as we are apart of his kingdom now... ya know kinda link in both the families to his claim

Well the Hand technically can stand in for the King, I can merely say he was indisposed if you like.

It would also be the first reveal to the world that Tywin Lannister is HAND of the bloody king. You know apart from the handful of folks on Dragonstone in the Blackfyre fleet that are aware of the appointment already.

Just need to wrap up the Hightower talk then I can do the Small Council and Prince of Dorne ICs...
