Fate Testarossa, formerly Justine Fournier, showed up predictably late. It was through no fault of her own or her vehicle of choice - Unlike any graduate of Hogwarts, she preferred to conserve her magic for when she felt she needed it. Instead of flying to the castle, she took her De Tomaso Pantera GT5-S... black of course. No bodyguards were present for her, nor were they necessary - When you have the kind of mastery of magic that Fate had, such precautions were usually overkill.

She went inside the gala and sat one table away from the Bat family's usual table, which is where she often sat during such events.

I wonder if they have any bisque...

The Italian immortal alchemist known as Benvenuto Cellni, as well as Marquis Sant'Angelo, and whose original name was Tatsuya Hosokawa, arrived at what he considered a fairly reasonable time. When it came to a form of transport, he himself had gone for a silver Pagani Huayra. A couple of other vehicles followed, with around ten men of his, though he considered them unnecessary. He arrived at the gala bedecked in a a black, richly embroidered overcoat, with glittering sapphire studs embedded.

He moved towards the area for villains, a silver-skull capped cane in one hand. Though that, like his accompanying hooded cultists equipped with a mix of weaponry, dark magic and alchemy, was unnecessary. His calculating violet gaze swept over his surroundings, and he smiled faintly as his mind worked to identify the various other arrivals whilst he moved to take a seat.

Teclis. His vile tongue ripped through Saruman’s good mood like some magic dagger. The man could never resist making some sort of remark regarding him, or anyone else for that matter. This kind of wording normally never hurt the White Wizard, but the total disrespect of this man started to get on his nerves. But, his irritation would not show. Instead, he smiled, and greeted him happily, as if he knew not what Teclis was talking about.

“Oh, my young friend, how much you have still to learn regarding my affairs. The business of Eden is mother of us all. If something or someone makes a mess of things here, we are all doomed. Some…”

His long nail went across the chest of his companion

“more than others.”

Sarumen then spotted the gift Teclis held in his hands. An amulet of unknown power or origin.

“Tell me, boy, are you interested in certain artefacts of supernatural nature? Come, join me at my table, so we can talk on…” He said, as he stretched his hand out towards the table for the less saintly of characters in the realm.

"I'm no good at fighting anyways." Kei shrugged. "Could hold my own in a fight." She nodded, though versed well in a few of Kei's powers (Namely certain spells that could transform one's self or others to her liking). That was always a helpful one, incapacitating more than one of her instructors harmlessly on exams. She looked to Edward and smiled, despite her dislike of boys.

"Protection usually is. I got a pet for her."

Inside the box she had bought, was a glass sphere with a Glaucus Atlanticus inside, immortalized by someone specializing in the concept. It would be there forever, swimming around the small glass sphere.

It had cost a pretty penny, but for the new Princess, anything was worth it.

Aedan entered the gala. He was dressed in his full armor, minus the helmet. In the place of his helmet, he wore a simple crown. Despite the fact that he had never really lived the life of Aedan Cousland, he knew nothing else, and so, in his mind, he was still King consort. Though he wasn't trying to challenge the Queen in any way, he still wore a crown. Not so much to signify his status as King Consort, but more to signify his independent allegiance, and he did not follow the Queen, as the Guardians didn't. They followed their own rule. His rule, basically. And so he wore a crown.
In addition to his normal armor and his crown, he also wore a flowing, black cape that trailed on the ground behind him a bit. It was all very dramatic.

In his arms he held the princess' gift. It was a black lion cub, very young, and sleeping peacefully. He knew that if it was raised right, it could grow to be the princess' companion and protector, and would grow as she did. He even had someone cast a spell on it so that it would live as long as the princess would, assuming she died of old age. When fully grown, it would be a sight to behold. It would be about four feet tall from toes to shoulders, and look something like this.

He walked over to the crib and placed the sleeping lion down beside it. It curled up with a cute yawn and continued to sleep. He then went down on one knee before the princess and bowed his head. Normally, this motion would be someone showing their aliegiance to the princess, but for him, it was showing his allegiance to the innocent. She was innocent and defenseless, and so he would protect her.
Times are looking grim these days~

The Dragon Queen

Royal Chambers

Vaemidia via Emma's mouth gave a smile at Daenerys words to Uriel. If Uriel was an adjective in the dictionary, it be for persistence. As Uriel left and Vaemidia closed the doors with a wave of her hand she turned to the Queen. Feeling her pulse, heartbeat, blood pressure, metabolic rate and even electrical current within her brain by hovering a hand over her body. Something was strange, like she had sense before.

Vaemidia hid all emotion, it was not good for professional to betray worry at every behest of possible negative side effects in child birth. She put on a pair of white gloves, simply for posterities sake, Emma's hands where devoid of all bacteria with the power of Vaemidia. They where as clean as anything on Earth at that point. But, it looked more professional and reassuring to anyone who would be watching.

"I am going to conduct a brief examination down below. What you describe could be a possible side effect of post-birth stress. Though, the vomiting worries me. Tell me, what have you ate lately?" As she spoke she lifted up the Queen's garments and looked, strange, everything is the same as when I gave my post-birth examination before? She put a hand to the Queen's pelvis and moved it around, not major blood loss or tissue damage either...did...did something move! She paused, pressed her hand with more weight around the Queens womb, probing mentally and froze. Something was alive, and definitely not Human by any sense of the word, though a miasma of some sort was masking the identity of the living being. Could the Queen have twins by chance?

She lifted her head to the Queen, "I believe you may have another child on the way, though, I cannot for certain tell what it is. Its image is hidden from me somehow. A blackness shrouds the baby within you, if I could call it such, it is not even remotely Human I suspect."

Vaemidia continued after a moments pause, "How do you wish to proceed, at this point I would recommend extreme testing as is my duty. But I know how much this gala means to you, even if it goes against my professional conscious I have to leave the decision up to you."

Daenerys couldn't believe her ears when she heard that.

"Pardon?....another baby? but thats impossible isn't it? I mean wouldn't I have given birth to him or her at the same time as Etain?....naturally it shouldn't be exactly human, I mean you can't really call Etain a full fledge human as well can you?....whatever it is that is inside me has the blood of the dragon now and....the blood of its father...and....oh god... "

As the Queen felt panic rising within herself, she gripped the edges of her bed so tightly that her white knucklebones strained against the flesh of her hands. "H-h-how long do you think it will take until I go into labour once again?" she inquired as beads of sweat began trickling down her pale face.

The Gala

The lights of the entire place suddenly darkened as a fog filled the hall and a stage emerged out of nowhere in the middle of the empty dancing floor. Accompanying the rising podium were a choir of sweet melodious voices that belonged to a group of beautiful elves all arrayed in silver and diamonds that glistened in the dark.

Magical elven words filled the ears of the listeners as the melancholy yet enchanting song quietened the hearts of all those who opened their minds and their souls willingly to the singers.

Teclis' eyes narrowed ever so slightly at being called 'boy', in fact one might even miss the movement. Even though the Wizard technically had lived longer than the elf and the person who he once was, was a human boy. It irked Teclis that the man refered to him as a 'young friend'. He was determined not to let the old Wizard get to him however.

"It would not befit an Archmage to disregard any aspect of magic." he replied somewhat haughtily.

Though he held little ill will for the old man, he still wasn't sure if he should trust him or the others at the 'less saintly' table. However he was curious as to what the Wizard would say, and so devised a compromise.

"Could we not talk standing for now? I was meaning to give this gift to the newborn-" then he heard the elven choir, and his thoughts were distracted. The music was oddly familiar, as it had the grace of his own race of elves. Yet he could not understand the words, as they seemed to be elves from another world, Saruman's world in fact. "Asuryan's Flame... Who are they?" he asked, his mind still surprised by this development. He did not expect to see any elves, though he was not sure they were elves from the Old World.

"Of course, being humans also have advantages, you don't need to be angry about it. I can fight fairly well, but not as skilled as Batman. But I'm more well-versed in lightning...," said Edward as he showed to Kei, a small ball of lightning.

"See? It's small, but it's not all of my powers. What kind of powers you have, honey?"

"Call me honey one more time, and I'll be tempted to show you." Kei shook her head, ignoring the statement once, but if he called her that again, she wouldn't hesitate to humiliate the man in front of party guests. She could turn him into a tree or something, turn him back, and find that his clothes had all been ruined. That would be pretty funny, but then again, Kei would probably end up in quite a bit of trouble for the stunt.

The side of her that was the original character though, urged him to do it, to show that she wasn't to be trifled with, but she beat that part back.

"Side topic, do you bring your suit tonight? I mean, your superhero costume? Batman wants us to keep our eyes and ears and noses open in time like this. Especially with villains around here, we need to be ready."

"Oh sorry, Kei. But you are female, and you should be called like that...right? You're not transgender, right?"

"I just don't like it." Kei sighed again, looking to the ground as her comrade talked about it. He knew in his head that Kei was female, but could change her appearance at will, just preferring to stay in her normal form. "I am female, but I'm not used to it yet. I have all her memories, yet can't remember them, I have her appearance, yet I retain the memories of being a guy." She shook her head.

"And yes. I did."

Morgana, having given her gift and given her greetings to the Hand of the Queen, retreated from the circle of people, her gaze swivelling around the room. She did not recognise many people explicitly, but there were many whose identities she could guess. Well, that wasn't quite true: Morgana had no idea who most of these people were supposed to be, however, the part of her that was Morgan had a pretty good idea about who was who.

Then, suddenly, the lights dimmed and a fog roiled into the hall from... somewhere. And then she heard the singing, and sneered, putting her hands over her ears. It wasn't as though she didn't like the music; she simply didn't trust other fae, and in her mind that included elves. The fair folk were, in her experience, conniving, selfish, and backstabbing, and though she guessed that the singing had been arranged by the Dragon Queen, she nevertheless felt that she should not trust them.

Cheshire leaned against a wall, hands shoved in his pockets, watching and waiting for something... well, fun to happen. So when the room suddenly darkened and a bunch of elves started singing, he was intrigued. Not necessarily interested, but intrigued. He listened for about a minute, then got bored again, and decided to give his gift to the princess. So, without further ado, he reappeared near her crib (though not so close that he alarmed anybody) and put the book down with the rest of the gifts.

Afterwards, he crouched down on the floor and watched the show.

Vaemidia, Goddess of Life

Emma's hands pulled back, head in contemplation despite the fact Vaemidia was doing all the thinking. The Goddess of Life, whose essence showed through Emma's eyes looked up at the Dragon Queen. Her voice was soothing, but serious, "This is a unique circumstance, but unless my powers fail me what I say is correct. This child, from what I felt, would even make Etain seem normal, this child is not of the same strain by any margin than the fact its in your womb. I can induce labor now, but by then only a fool would let you go to the Gala without some serious assistance. Assistance that I could give, but it would tire me out to extremis and I will have to return to my domain for a time. Or, we could wait for the natural labor process, a process I estimate start in at least a few hours to tomorrow the latest. At which point I would recommend caesarian after 24 hours."

Vaemidia stood and lowered the Queen's garb back down and took the gloves off, they caught fire an burned into nothing. The Eldritch fire not leaving a trace. It was a perfect disposal trick.

"It is still your decision." stated Vaemidia as her eyes met the Queens.

The Gala

Avalar took a sip from his beverage and glanced at everyone, the wizards, the Bat Family members and what not. He was pondering when to give his gift, thought it was rather unorthodox in fashion. Never the less, he thought it prudent and quite entertaining. But to all the onlookers it would appear that he brought no gift, for it was immaterial.

Zeen walked away from the group of people near the cradle. He had gotten bored already and it was already a few moments into the entire thing. He walked over to one of the pillars and put his back against it as he leaned against it thinking out loud to himself again. "The atmosphere of this place. The people in here. Everything. It's all setup as if something disastrous was planned to happen. And this aura. It's strange yet powerful, but it doesn't come from anyone here in this hall. Perhaps it is simply the Queen herself." He stands up straight and stands there beside the pillar as the hall darkens and a song is sung, making him lose most of his focus from what he was doing. The top of his staff begins to dimly glow a blue colour making it stand out in the almost black room.
