"Oh shit oh shit oh shit." Kei mouthed as she put down her phone. How could she have forgotten that!? She was too caught up in her morning routine and the idea of having to buy a dress when in the back of her head, she knew that she was supposed to report to her Master. She was glad that she was at least dressed nicely in her black women's business suit that she spent an ungodly amount of money on, but it was worth it in her opinion, way better than a dress.

She quickly made her way back home and grabbed her bike, intent on getting there faster than walking could.

During her bike ride, she had the wonderful thought of simply just teleporting there, and wishing that she could do that. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened, and a bright flash of energy enveloped the woman, throwing her bike to the side, and whooshing her away to the entrance of the batcave. Freaking out pretty thouroughly now, Kei realized where she was, the Batcave.

The same wish held no effect anymore though, and the Goddess felt tired, like after a day of school.

The Black Rome Manor, Inner Cavern

The cavern of the elaborately designed and build Black Rome manor wasn't as beautiful as the rest of the manor but it had a natural glint to it that the manor did not. A natural beauty flowed through the cavern via freshwater streams that trickled and splashed every so often, their sounds echoing through the cave like a child's honey sweet laughter. The walls and floors were made completely of slightly damp but not slippery stone that glistened with crystals, indents were everywhere and it seemed if you found a good set of them you could climb to the top of the cavern.

In the center of the manor's monolithic inner cavern that resided underneath said manor rested the ever glowing Well of Seers who's mana rose and fell like the rythym of a Siren that got ahold of an Angelic choir's sheet music. All around the Well rested alchemical equipment that popped, bubbled, fizzed, sizzled and even whisteled with smoke and mist flowing from the various twisting and turning devices. Selene looked over this equipment and as she grabbed a dropper filled with a thick, gooey black substance and dropped it into a beaker of green it burst with colorful purple smoke.

The innards of the beaker bubbled as drop after drop of black fell into the green beaker, a cork was soon placed on the top and the beaker shaken. It glew an eeriely beautiful purple that the well of souls was sure to enjoy as it was dumped into it, water changed colors and before Selene's eyes was the face of Set.

"Sorry your highness but my conversation with the Doc keep me young and chipper." He began to write down what the Queen had dictated to him, nodding while doing so. ''Mhmm, yea, okay..." He looked at the list "Okay would you like fries with that? Bad joke, anyways your wish is my command, Vae keep on looking beautiful" Winking at her and bowing to the Queen before taking his leave. Checking on the food and music which were coming along nicely he then went to inform notify the Commander of the Golden guard.

The anti-villain known as The Batman flexed his gloved fingers and tried to display a show of his fading powers. To no avail.

He knew the reason why they were going away and he tried not to be too worried about it. But its been nearly 3 decades since he has lived with it and naturally he had come to depend on the abilities of The Darkness very heavily. Frowning under his cowl, Batman turned around quickly making his long jagged cloak swish as he did so and picked up his iPhone before dialling a number.

At the other end of the line, a cell-phone was ringing and when somebody picked up The Dark Knight growled, "Kei...you're suppose to report for duty an hour ago. We've got work to do so you better get your ass here asap or I'm finding myself another side-kick."

Ending the call just as abruptly as he had spoken, the Batman then simply pressed a com device in his ear and said, "Edward....bring me a black coffee with three lumps of sugar in it. Make yourself one while you're at it. We're going to have a long day ahead of us."

Before his butler/computer maintenance officer could reply, he ended the call and when straight to inspect the batmobile.

Edward is currently in the manor, since he's staying in the manor. He soon put sugar into the black coffee, an Americano. Looks good and nice. While at that, he made himself a Choco Latte for himself, he likes more of choco then coffee. As soon as he finished, he went into the Batcave.

He wore his costume, a black thunder suit before he went into the Batcave.

"Here you go, Batman," said Edward as he put the black coffee at the side of Batman, while he took a sip of his own one.

"This will be a long day for sure. I suspect you have been invited into the gala as well, Batman. But of course, I can see that he will arrives as well, by he I mean, King Lion." said Edward as he grinned.

The Dark Knight

Batman merely sipped his coffee and sat down infront of his large computer monitors without saying anything.

King Lion was, in his opinion, the least of all his concerns or the city's for that matter. There were other bigger & much more dangerous sharks in the ocean all just waiting for the opportunity to get into power. After for what seemed like 3 minutes he said stonily, "I'm not going to the gala. Our shift is beginning tonight but you and the others can go in my place."

The BranRiech wrote:"Oh shit oh shit oh shit." Kei mouthed as she put down her phone. How could she have forgotten that!? She was too caught up in her morning routine and the idea of having to buy a dress when in the back of her head, she knew that she was supposed to report to her Master. Freaking out pretty thouroughly now, Kei realized where she was, the Batcave.

The same wish held no effect anymore though, and the Goddess felt tired, like after a day of school.

Without looking behind his shoulder, The Batman continued just as calmly when Kei suddenly appeared in the Batcave."You made it. Good."

Tapping on three thick large folders lying on the table next to him he said, "You've got homework. Alot. If you want to go to the gala I suggest you take these home with you and brief yourself on them at a later time. Get back to me if you have any questions. I expect you to be done with them in three days. Goodbye."

Smoothly, he began typing rapidly on the keyboards below him in cold silence. A sign that he wanted to be left alone now.

12 Hours Later -

The party has finally started and the palace servants were all lined up at the entrance to receive the first batch of guests with a bow and a curtsey. After that, the partakers were brought to the main hall by the Master of Ceremonies, a stout pudgy but polite and kind man named Podrick, and seated at differant tables. The Queen had made it quite clear that some of the guests were to be separated from one another especially since a few individuals would find it uncomfortable sharing a table with villains like Sauron and Saruman and maybe even The Dark Knight himself.

All the while, waiters and waitresses circulated the areas with trays bearing delicacies, drinks and appetizers of all sorts. Meanwhile, before the Iron Throne was stationed a golden cradle with the sweet and pink-cheeked Princess Etain lying in it, swaddled in beautifully embroidered silk and soft linen cloth. Guarding the cradle was a platoon of 20 very alert but stolid knights of The Golden Guard in shining dragon crested armor, with their right hands resting gently on the hilts of their Valerian steel swords. The guests were suppose to present their christening gifts and birthday presents to The Hand of The Queen who would then lay it before the Crown Princess's cradle.

The Dragon Queen was nowhere to be seen as she was till getting ready within the royal chambers.

King Lion arrived in his limo, accompanied by dozen of his own bodyguards, a group of knights armed with dark artifacts that able to improve their power. This group are one of the official military branch of the Lion Criminal Organization and headquartered in Antioch and other cities as well, providing securities for rich people. King Lion walked out from his limo as he, dressed in his all-black suit and a black tie. He talked his bodyguards to stay alert and watch for any threats, outside. Including the Dark Knight's henchmen.

He went inside of the gala, and went into one of the tables...specifically selected for the villains only, while his bodyguards are outside of gala.

Shuffling up to the enteance of the Palace was Kei, looking quite out of place in her business suit. The tight clothes hugged her form, but not uncomfortably so, and her hair was done in a way to cascade down her back, a bright orange accent to the black suit. She carried with her, a small box wrapped delicately In wrapping paper.

Earlier, she had gotten her stack of homework from the Batman, and nearly ruined her day with it. Wasting this day would mean the work would ne needed in 2 days then.

"Bullshit." She whispered, approaching the greeters. "Kei, if there's a last name, it'd be Apfelbeck, but I have no ladt name other than the old one, I guess?"

She shrugged at the greeter, wondering if she was on the list.

Meanwhile, Edward is in the gala, or so. He's accompanying Kei, even if Kei doesn't wants it at all. He dressed in a white suit with white tie, confirming his allegiance as a "Good Man. He has knew what sort of trouble Kei's get into.

"I can assist you in the homework, if Batman allows it." said him, as he looked over Kei. She's look beautiful tonight, to say the least.

Makayla walked in to the gala. She felt weird. It was rare that she ever wore a dress, and never had she worn one so nice. The dress was black, matching her newly dyed hair. For shoes she simply wore black leather, thigh-high boots. Though thigh-high boots were often seen as 'sexy' she wasn't wearing them for that reason. She was wearing them because she liked how they looked. Not that they could be seen with her dress. She had her gift in her hands. It was packed inside a decorative box, tied with a ribbon on top. She hoped it would be suitable.

Super Cat sat on her shoulder. Her fur was clean and fluffy and soft. She had washed herself repeatedly with soap to get her fur so nice and snuggle-able. Her gift was stored away in her pouch, remarkably, seeing as it was many many times larger then she was.

Unsure as to what exactly they should be doing, they went and sat down at the table for good people. They would give their presents later, when they saw what to do better.

Uriel was in a tuxedo, thanking the guests for the gifts as they dropped them off at the Princess's cradle. Well that's what he made it seem, really he was just wearing what he had on earlier, and wasn't anywhere near the cradle, he didn't like staying in a one place for to long, and just left a doppelganger of himself by the crib as he mingled with the others, seeing Kei by the entrance made him crack a smile as his form shifted to that of Batman as he sneak himself other to her. "I thought I told you, you had things than needed to be done." He said with an almost similar scowl to that of the Dark Knight, crossing his arms.

Avalar entered the gala with his hands in his pockets, seeming to be the embodiment of a calm level headed person, his suit was immaculate, much like his hair and skin. His violet eye's seemed to be utterly entrancing, more than one courtier fawning at his side ways glances as he moved about. Noticing other persons like Edward and Makayla, even the unorthodox attire adorning the figure of Kei.

The God of Death went over to the bar and ordered straight vodka, drinking it in one gulp. The alcohol did not taint his breathe as it entered his mouth. He felt no sting, could Gods even become drunk? Avalar was determined to find out one of these days. Not that he was a heavy drinker of course, only casual.

He walked about some more, as if examining the architecture of the building, then his eyes landed on Uriel morph into the Dark Knight. Avalar moved up behind Uriel, "My little birdies tell me you have a thing for Vaemidia, or do you like young ladies?" Avalar made no intention to reference Uriel, he really wanted to see Uriel's reaction and Kei's as well. Avalar did turn to Kei and wink at her playfully.

Royal Chambers

Vaemidia via Emma's mouth gave a smile at Daenerys words to Uriel. If Uriel was an adjective in the dictionary, it be for persistence. As Uriel left and Vaemidia closed the doors with a wave of her hand she turned to the Queen. Feeling her pulse, heartbeat, blood pressure, metabolic rate and even electrical current within her brain by hovering a hand over her body. Something was strange, like she had sense before.

Vaemidia hid all emotion, it was not good for professional to betray worry at every behest of possible negative side effects in child birth. She put on a pair of white gloves, simply for posterities sake, Emma's hands where devoid of all bacteria with the power of Vaemidia. They where as clean as anything on Earth at that point. But, it looked more professional and reassuring to anyone who would be watching.

"I am going to conduct a brief examination down below. What you describe could be a possible side effect of post-birth stress. Though, the vomiting worries me. Tell me, what have you ate lately?" As she spoke she lifted up the Queen's garments and looked, strange, everything is the same as when I gave my post-birth examination before? She put a hand to the Queen's pelvis and moved it around, not major blood loss or tissue damage either...did...did something move! She paused, pressed her hand with more weight around the Queens womb, probing mentally and froze. Something was alive, and definitely not Human by any sense of the word, though a miasma of some sort was masking the identity of the living being. Could the Queen have twins by chance?

She lifted her head to the Queen, "I believe you may have another child on the way, though, I cannot for certain tell what it is. Its image is hidden from me somehow. A blackness shrouds the baby within you, if I could call it such, it is not even remotely Human I suspect."

Vaemidia continued after a moments pause, "How do you wish to proceed, at this point I would recommend extreme testing as is my duty. But I know how much this gala means to you, even if it goes against my professional conscious I have to leave the decision up to you."

Paying no heed to Edward (Kie had learned to simply ignore guys' compliments most of the time), she walked into the Gala and proceeded with her gift over to the cradle, looking up when she heard the familiar voice of her boss. She gulped, and dropped her present with a surprised yelp that made her blush. The present was ruined though, the sound of glass shattering confirmed that as she stammered.

"Y-you said it was due in 3 days, sir." She wavered, a mix between embarrassment and anger as her temper rose. "You said . . . You said you weren't going to be here." Tears started welling up in her eyes. "I wanted to go.

It was just a harmless joke, didn't thing Bats would be that hard on you." He went over to her dropped gift picking it up, shaking the contents "Doesn't sound too good, no worries I can handle it." Shaking it again several times until it sounded whole again "Best thing about being an angel is the miracles." Setting it down with the others, he look at Avalar "Now Avy, I don't kiss and tell." Leaning on his doppelganger's shoulder. Looking back at Kei "Please enjoying yourself, even if only a night before Mr.Hardass get his cape in a bunch." He pulled a handkerchief out of the copy-Uriel's breast pocket hand it to her

It was in the middle of all the glamour, all the chaos that always accompanied a party, all the joy of celebration, that a figure made his way towards the entrance of the hall. The figure was clad in white, and had a black staff to lean on, which hit the ground at the same slow pace as his feet did. He was not in a hurry. In the words of a wise, old man: a wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives exactly when he means to. This was certainly true for this wizard, who did not like to live by the clocks of others. His head covered by a white hood, it wasn’t possible to see who was beneath it, although the staff and the old, nailed hands left no doubts about who this was. His staff made a hard pouncing sound when it hit the floor, which made Saruman unable to sneak up on anyone. He didn’t need to. As an Istari, his powers were beyond many people here. Sneaking up on someone would be the coward’s way. Al least, that was what he thought in his mind. Not minding other people, Saruman went straight for the cradle in which the baby was lying. It was obviously just born, anyone could see that. The frail, little hands, the small head… This baby was probably one of the newest on this earth.

Saruman removed his hood to get e better look at the infant. This child has so much still to see, so much to gaze and wonder at. All the mysteries of life, already unravelled by Alexander, lay still ahead of her. For a moment, Saruman’s good side was gripped. How much he would enjoy seeing this baby grow up. He certainly had the life span for it, Istari grew very old. He could be her mentor, guiding her through life’s troubles. Who could teach a girl more about the world than a man who had seen it all, and who had lived his new life in misery because of his forbearer in a book. Maybe, the queen would be kind… If he met her before the night was over, maybe he could reason with her… But now, the queen was nowhere to be seen. Just some Fantasians hopping about, here and there. One sight was happening quite close. Two identical copies of the Queen’s hand stood shoulder to shoulder, talking to two guests. Their talk appeared small, and there was a gift Saruman wanted to drop off as soon as possible. With the kindest voice he could muster, and with the most heartfelt smile, he entered the conversation.

“I’m sorry to disturb, your excellence. Excellences, I presume, now there are two of you. And of course, greetings to you both, Kie, Avalar. I wanted to deposit my gift for Her Majesty, the princess.”

From the inside of his white cloak, like a magic trick, Saruman conjured a small ring. It was beautiful. The ring itself was made from pure gold, with a large, red ruby-like gem sticking out. Saruman held it like it was a divine item, a precious gift.

“This is Narya, the Ring of Fire. It is one of the Rings of Power, which were scattered around the world during the Event. To find this one, I had to… Remove some obstacles. I have found it nonetheless. It is my gift to the princess. Don’t worry about the size, it will adjust to her hand.”

While holding Narya, Saruman heard a faint whisper in the background, in the back of his head. A Dark voice, feeling very close.

“One Ring… One Ring… One Ring…”

Quickly, Saruman handed the Ring over to Uriel, hoping to get rid of it as soon as possible.

Zeen walked to the Gala. He decided against wearing anything different to his usual blue robes. He carried his staff placing it down with a quiet thud. He walked up the steps into the palace and as he entered he was greeted by some servants. Unexpecting this he simply gave a slight nod of his head and he walked on. When he entered he suddenly felt the presence of another wizard. He proceeded slowly through the hall eventually stopping at a pillar at which he could see the princess. A slight smile emerged on his face when he saw the cradle. He could feel the life force of the newborn inside it and he felt a joyous feeling inside of him. However when he lookedup from the cradle he saw a sight that made him frown, Saroman. He saw the man in the white robes and he felt the life essence of him which told Zeen that that's who the wizard is.

After several minutes of feeling anger build up for no reason other than jealousy, as he knew Saroman was more powerful, he eventually moved away from the pillar and walked towards the cradle. As he approached the cradle he he reached inside his robe for his present for the princess. He pulled out a small ice sculpture of a swan that he had crafted himself. It was magically infused ice-swan and so it could only smash, not melt unless under flames from a magic weilder. He walked over to the group of people standing near the cradle and Zeen was stood beside Saroman. He didn't look at the wizard, he just held out the swan sculpture and said, "I hand over this as my gift for the princess."

Uriel watched as Saruman made his way to the cradle, and tilted his head when he mention two of himself. "Oh." Looking to the copy "This handsome devil or angel, is just a stand in.." Snaps his fingers causing the dressed up Uriel to fade away. "Woops forget to put on my tux." His clothes changed into a tuxedo, he grabs the ring Saruman offered him. "Thank you Saruy, I'm sure the princess will love it." He turns his attention to the other person offering a gift to the baby princess. "Thank you very much." He inspects it brief putting it down on the table "An ice sculpture very nice, lets hope the princess doesn't get her tongue stuck on it." Smiling at the others, while more people bring gives

Standing back up with a polite bow of the head, Kei quickly scurried off. Unlike some others who had inherited quite a bit more of the character's personalities, Kei was mentally still the meek boy from the Midwest, still deathly afraid of slipping up, still always stammering to apologize for the small stuff. She scurried away without even a look at the Newborn Princess that she wanted to see so bad, and went to take her seat at one of the Good tables, content to await her food, and maybe even see the Queen that she'd never met before.

Morgan le Fay walked through the doors in her sleeveless black dress, her wings slowly opening and closing as she glanced around nonchalantly. She walked slowly across the room so that it almost seemed as though she were floating, though the effect was lessened by the fact that, for one, others could see her legs. Her dark eyes locked onto the cradle of the newborn princess: new life, new light, new hope in the lives of the Fantasians. This baby was unique -- she could sense it. Morgana was a powerful member of the fair folk, and though her powers were somewhat restricted by the fact that she was no longer a pure Fae, she could nevertheless feel the child's power, even from this distance.

She headed towards the Hand, Uriel, and, as unobtrusively as possible, joined the circle of people that had formed around him. She held up a small Celtic harp, the right size for a child to play. She had spent most of the day teaching it to play a few simple songs all on its own: she was quite proud that in only several hours, it had learnt Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Silent Night, as well as as handful of other, more obscure songs. "A gift for the princess," she said coolly.

The Cheshire Cat could have simply appeared in the midst of the party, but eventually decided against it. It was a princess's birthday, after all. Besides, he might alarm the guards if he forewent the formality of coming in by the door, so it was best not to risk it.

When he entered the room wearing a wine-coloured suit that matched the colour of his hair, ears and tail almost perfectly, he smirked. For even though others may not have known it, the sight of him entering a room on foot was a rare one indeed. He carried a copy of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland to offer as a gift to the newborn -- his idea of ironic humour. However, he couldn't be bothered to go see the princess at the moment, so he snatched a fizzing champagne flute off of the tray of a passing servant, taking a sip -- all the while ignoring the worried looks of a few adults who thought that it was inappropriate for a thirteen-year-old to be drinking such a thing.

"You really really need to pay attention, or else I won't when you are in danger." mumbled Edward as he wanders off. As he looked on Kei again, she..met with Dark Knight. Maybe Batman is arriving, after all.

Edward wanders to the tables of the goodies, where after he sat down, he immediately saw Kei again.

"Hey...try to calm down and take a breath okay? You need to learn to guard your composure, or else the villains can catch you when you are at your least secure," said Edward to Kei.

"Who are you anyways?" Kei asked. She might have lived in the same neighborhood with everyone else, but was it really a crime to not get to know everyone? She shrugged and studied Edward's face, noting the features and committing it to memory.

"I'm Kei, by the way."

"So he...never mind. Name's Edward. I'm a computer technician at the academy. I'm here because my mentor, and a boss, isn't coming. He said that he has some business to do with the gala but outside of the gala." answered Edward. Is she really knows nothing of him? Maybe because he used to wore mask in Batcave? Maybe.

"So...why are you here? Some sort of rich student that got invitation?"

Teclis entered though the gala doors, wearing elven formal robes and carrying the the Moon Staff of Lileath with him. He was a little irritated that he was being dragged away from his research to this party, but he had to keep up apearances. Besides, his colleagues at Hogwarts have been telling him he hasn’t had a break in days.

Maybe they were right… Besides, the birth of a royal heir is usually a joyous occasion. Teclis had even brought a gift for the newborn. He walked over to the table, his steps unconsciously gracefull, his now elven body naturally swift and agile. However unlike other elves Teclis had an odd frailty about him, which was oddly offset by the magic energy within him.

He saw two others near the cradle that caught his attention. One a wizard (he assumed due to the staff and coat) he was not familiar with, however he was often glad to meet another of the magic arts.

The other he knew, or had heard of at least. Saruman, the White Wizard, who lived outside of the city. He assumed the wizard mostly stayed uninvolved from everything, what was so different about this gala?

“Saruman. It is surprising you brought a gift.” He commented, his caustic tongue getting the better of him. “In fact, it is surprising you came at all.”

He stood close to the cradle, yet a few feet away from Saruman, his gift in hand. An obsidian amulet, a magical item in his world that is supposed to give one resistance to magic.

"I got the invitation because I'm an apprentice to someone in goverment." Kei shrugged, remembering that morbing of waking up and finding the invitation in her mailbox. She knew she was going the moment she read the letter.

"Unfortunately, my mentor is the Bat Man, and he gave me 3 full binders of homework."

She rolled her eyes. "So what'd you get the Princess for her birth?"

"A gift. From Batman. Since he can't come here, he gave me a check of money, so I use it to buy the baby an emerald artifact, for protection. You know that protection is hard to find these days...right?" said Edward, knowingly.

"Anyway...be on the lookout. There's no telling that there will be criminals lurking around here planning something big."

Avalar eyed Uriel like a kid in a candy store and replied, "Oh, Uri, no need to kiss and tell. I prefer to wait and see." Avalar leaned in close, "An interesting rumor is that Vaemidia does not have a date tonight, usually she brings some one, maybe its your chance." Avalar winked and turned about, refilling his glass with alcohol.
