Nation/faction name: The Tarantara Dominion
location: Tukma Island
Population (no more than 50,000): 12,000
five cloned crop/livestock species:
Wheat
Corn
Oats
Fish
Cows
five starting technologies:
Vaccination
Metallurgery
Architecture
Plasma Weaponry
Defenses against flooding
Civil Freedoms:
The civil freedoms of the Tarantaran Dominion mirror those of the way women were treated, with property going to those that they married, except men now take their place and women are in charge.
Brief Description of your nation's History:
The Tarantara Dominion are descended from the predecessors to Persian nations, are descendents of the Egyptians and several other races, having separated long ago they became a nation fueled by science and logic. Their pagan deity took shape of the embodiment of science and logic, of which they follow, adding something that is unusually religious to science and logic, meaning some of their views would be confusing and outright concerning to the outside world.
They grew, confined to their current space until the time came that they wanted to explore more and more, to conquer, to absorb new territories into their land, so that they could gain the capability to be a power house in the future. They did so and now we come to the time that they are ready to take more steps, to conquer whatever possible, to explore knowledge, logic, to gain more slaves, yet attempt to avoid war, if necessary any opposition would be eradicated.
Brief Description of your nation's economy:
The potent economy of the Tarantara Dominion is fueled primarily by the slave trade, ores, precious gems and metals with art having a special place in the hearts of all Tarantarans, slaves are used as warriors, when the normal soldiers aren't needed, for work and a wide variety of other things. They usually enslave most of the lower class people in newly conquered territories, their children, being more malleable, are taught to fight for the Tarantaran Dominion and not anything else. So, while culturally more advanced, they still are active in what would have been thought of as immoral in the coming milennia and centuries, the odd part is that they will likely still have slavery even during this time, because, as of now, slavery is a huge part of the Tarantarans economy.
Brief Description of your nation's government:
The government is a monarchy in which the women are the ones that rule, making it a matriarchy, specifically they are a dominion so they effectively conquer new territories, exploring, and disallowing too many civil rights to men and lower class women.
The queen is the absolute ruler, quite literally, what she says goes and while she can suggest laws the Upper and Lower Courts almost always suggest them and they usually go through her or a high ranking member of the royal family after being voted for for actual approval before integration into the laws.
Brief Description of your nation's populace: The population is made of of a European/Tarantaran majority with the minority being made of of Africans and asians. Slaves are not thought of as part of the nation's populace, nonetheless there are many of them and they are traded frequently, so their population number is always changing. There are slight tensions between Tarantarans and the minority due to their children, at times, being enslaved for the crimes of the parents, but the Tarantarans don't see them as a threat and if they become one they will be eradicated. In essence, the people in charge are in charge and if you manage to make it to the upper class you will be able to have some more freedoms, and if you are in the minority or are in the lower class you are usually looked down upon. With most things being focused around race and economic class, there is little room for bigotry against homosexuality and, like many cultures that while less uncivilized than those in modern times had an understanding of certain things we did not, the Tarantarans are capable of accepting homosexuality, mostly because the queen is ridiculously protective of her children, to the point that she is attempting to save her sons by protecting homosexuality and barring bigotry due to sexuality from being expressed, to an even more extreme point the Queen was managed to get two of her sons to become the first princes of the Tarantaran Dominion and the others as royal servants, instead of the boys being sold as slaves[most likely sex slaves, the males of the royal family are seen as beautiful].
objectives in this RP: Survival, power to survive

I would post one, but I likely won't be active at all tomorrow. I'm going on a Boy Scout trip and instead of camping overnight, I'm going up tomorrow morning... at 4:30 A.M. So... yeah. If I were to make a map, it would be up on Sunday afternoon.
