That makes so little sense, I can't even begin to explain what is flawed in that. How does racism die out in the south? How do you convince a generation of bigots and white supermacist slave holders to suddenly abolish slavery in 40 years?

Yeah because of the south was never forced to give up slavery they had no harsh feeling towards blacks. Slavery died out when the industrial revolution kicked in and whites needed the jobs slaves once had. Slavery was abolished in the early 1880s. There are still racists out there but they are a small minority of uneducated poor whites. It isnt nearly as violent though. The KKK never existed. I'm planning on getting the NAACP to make a deal with the government that provides "Negro Units" led by "Negro" officers. They will prove themselves in battle and will convince the public to support equal rights.

It isn't free of racism but most people dont hate blacks. After the Negro Units, the Whigs will push for Civil Rights and equality.

Well, the Whites, Asians and Indians all owned blacks back in the day, there were even chinese cavalrymen in the CSA, and the first siamese twins were asian slave owners in Virginia or somesuch place.

what did the powerful landowner caste have to say about freeing the slaves? Things like slave abolition and land reforms caused several coups and revolutions in Latin America. How did they respond to their property being taken away? I also doubt that the reason why the south was anti blacks was due to forcible emancipation. After all, the hate persisted way beyond the civil war generation.

Trust me I know. I live in the south. The hate existed because it was seen as property that was stolen from them and the uneducated poor hated them because they wanted to feel better than someone. The government gave subsidies to plantation owners that hired workers instead of slaves. Gets rid of unemployment and eventually emancipated the slaves.

There wasn't a need for slaves anymore so it eventually died out. There is some racism I guess in a sense that some whites think they are better that is why I intend to show the Negro Units kick ass and prove them wrong. As a whole I'd say the majority of confederate citizens arent racist.

How does China pose any kind of threat to Sweden? You continents apart and even then China is a political mess.

The US and most major powers wont be interested in economic alliances at the moment, not with shells flying and war on their borders. Sweden can choose between the two conflicting coalitions or go neutral. The Centrals can offer you Finland as a part of the spoils if you decide to join them.
