There was resistance, surely. Why wouldn't there be, as there was pretty large nationalistic fervor in that area.

France would of been able to push into Spain to a extent, but after a while. Both sides would of taken massive Casualties, spain taking the most due to them not prepared for said war. They probably would of lost heavy income in their colonies, Portugal would of urged them to pursue peace, before Portugal was slung in the war. If portugal was slung in, france would of devoured their colonies, pushing Porutgal to surrender. So I see, how france got a hold on Spain.

Are you talking about the alternate timeline we're making or some other event? In this scenario, France is hyper militarized and its armies are very advanced. It went to war against a Spain that was lagging behind the rest of Europe so of course Spain lost.

Okay so I'm finally and I got the map into the OP but is Turkey part of Italy or is it independent?
