Mm, not so much. The Mughals want ships and manufactured goods, to a decent extent. Many others want raw materials, spices, silks, and markets for the products of their industry. Trade is very much a win-win situation.

But it'd be cool.

Either way, the civil war thing is gonna happen, because I want to fully abolish slavery, and the south will revolt if I do.

Perhaps, instead of the 'über-union', there's a good old-fashioned succession crisis where the UK wants one person on the throne and Austria wants someone else.

Nah, the whole point is that Austria and Britain, who are already aligned, become Uber-Union and Europe get's pissed because European monarchs hate bigger nations.

It'd be cool, but then again:

1. Y'all would have an uber-empire, which I am going to block.
2. We'd have a war before some nations get their introduction posts up.

I may trigger a random event anyways that would lead to that... can we say the sons of Henry V are also potential heirs?

Also, random events are up, Andaman was given a break since I don't think they should get steamrolled in like the first two days of the RP.

Calt: Likely. The Mughals have a fleet, but it's assuredly second rate compared to European powers. They've never had any real reason to develop ot, as it's mainly used for the protection of trade. More protection for trade would obviously lead to gratitude and more trade concessions.

Oh, it won't be that quick. I guesstimate a week or two of posting until Andaman is conquered.

No, the heirs are in House von Hapsburg and maybe a surviving bastard from House Stuart because that would be cool.

You'll have to wait till after the monsoon season, after which my fortifications will be ready.

Why would I have to do that? I specifically have highways in the Mughal Empure for things such as this, to maintain supply lines. It'll be slow going, sure, but I think pushing past any border outposts is worth it. And the monsoon will prevent the Andamans from bringing up reinforcements rapidly, given their inferior road system, so this monsoon should actually allow reasonable gains for the Second Imperial Army.

In the Mughal Empire? Roads would be dirt, but Imperial Highways are at least nominally paved. Poorer provinces might only be paved every decade or so, but technically they are.

I don't think the monsoon affects SE Asia quite as much; I think it just makes it a bit more windy and stormy, which is fairly easy to overcome (better than monsoon).

@Calt: It also wouldn't make sense because the British Royal Family is so extensive. What about Frederick? His brothers? George III?

Frederick is in Austria; that's up to Allen whether he even still exists. Same about his brothers. As for George III, he hasn't been born in this timeline.

I don't see why they wouldn't be as well-maintained; historically it would be a better idea to ensure one can get forces to a frontier, rather than worrying about internal roads, from a military standpoint.
