Hah, only if you go back six generations on my mother's side. And even then, those were Russians from back when Russia bordered Germany and Germany was tiny. More Germanic than Rus', in truth.

Though, perhaps, a lineage that taught their progeny to value literacy and a turn of phrase could have caused such a valuation in my personal life.
