If a dev releases a DLC, it means that content you originally wanted in the game, and/or couldn't put in the game at the time, wasn't placed in the game. Therefore, the original release is an unfinished game. Which means devs release unfinished games and then get more of your money by selling you bits and pieces to make up a finished game. Most of these unfinished games are awesome - but don't bother with DLCs. Just have the content originally in there.
