Bio expanded by one word. Ashford is now a freshly promoted sergeant with the mindset of a corporal. I'm following the Marine Corps ranking so let me know if you like me to follow other type of ranking structure.

Yay!

Also, I have a recommendation: Can we add grenades as one of the weapons?

I don't see why we can't. We should have advanced weaponry on stand by just in case. Despite being an exploration vessel, I'm pretty sure she carries some big guns for us military people. :p

And yay for the second Empire citizen! Though it doesn't seem our characters will see eye to eye.

And also, what about rocket launchers, sniper rifles, machine guns, and shotguns? There should be more options then just a rifle and a pistol.

And why wouldn't we see eye to eye?

All other types of weaponry should be available as well (as long as they're not experimental or anything like that), but pistols and rifles are standard equipment (My guess). I mean, almost everyone has a pistol.

As for the characters, it's the warmth vs. cold factor. We might see a melt the ice king moment but we'll see how it plays out. :)

I see. Our personality types may also clash, as while your character is positive, my character is cold.

Yup. But then again, there's also this phrase called "opposites attract." No, not that kind of attraction. They might become iron-clad brothers in arms after a fire fight or two.

Ah, the possibilities.

Explossives should be under lock, and key, while on ship as they can damage the hull interior causing a lose of structural integrety, and putting the crew at risk. Most of the pistols have been laser, or plasma weapons.

You know, had it not been for the history of Kovlen V (which has the Lumar responsible); the Umbrex would have been the ones who had practiced forced servitude during the time of the Umbrex Empire. An outcome of dominating the Syklians. Kovlen V was also a mining colony, and the Umbrex are primarily industrial based. Mining is a major industry on their capital world.

I had actually based the Republic on Nazi Germany;

Empire -> Great War = Economic Struggle -> Emperor steps down -> Nationalistic Regime takes hold in order to rebuild the nation

and I then further modified it with elements of the Arisocratic Merchantile Republics of Italy, and the English Commonwealth (not the Commonwealth of Nations) so as to show they are not Nazi Germany, merely inspired by it. I have no intention of making the Republic an evil entity, though like the Lumar it has such potential.

With recent develop meants it is true that we shall all make what these entities are though our interactions, as we develop their past, making them group projects.

Everyone will have an opinion about the different entities, and it will be up to the players how these are to be interpreted.

I personally think the Empress will do much good for the Empire.

What I mean it, well, where a group, and we are creating the setting together, and, well, I like how it's going, I like it a lot. It's nice to see things better then imagined.

XD I know, I know, I was just saying the original concept, and we are deviating. This a group, where all making the setting, and faction, and the people though dialogue, and interaction. The Republic, and Empire may end up different then what I may have envisioned, but that doesn't mean it's not enjoyable. I like all of us coming together, and creating something. It feels good to be part of a group that collectively is forming something I am personally awed by.

In fact, it's like the Empire really is bad, and that the Empress is some silver lining, a hope for the people;

The Empire is a Constitutional State currently governed by her majesty Onora Lumarik Galexia Mulbran, who is currently the youngest reigning Empress at 29 years of age. The population finds her almost holy, and benevolent, nature refreshing, though the nobility has been slow to accept her.

Her being young suggests that she might be more intune to the newer generation, and perhaps, bring about reform. It's like any of these possible reforms are reasons for the nobility to be slow to accept her.

I based the Auraniv Federation on Canada I do have a Presidential position but I mostly follow the Westminster political system where the legislative has more power than the executive branch but I also base it on the United States on free-market economics and a constitutional republic

Ooo....

Well, I suppose we can have a three pilots. 1 in the front, and two the eiher side. Currently we have a limit of 2 pilots (main, and co) We are in need of navigators though, and as said we can always due the three piloting crew layout, though one is usually a navigator.

(I am oblivious as to what a co-pilot actually does)

Corenea wrote:We need more people from the Federation

It would make sense that the'd have a vested interest. Currently our captain is the only Auranive on board.*

Also, having said Auranive as the term for people from Auraniv; should the Umbrex continue to be called the Umbrex or Umbrexans, or Umbrexians?

Shold the Lumar be called the Lumar, or the Lumarians, or Lumriks?

Edit: *Only named Auranive on board, the only one we've been introduced to. I'm sure some 'faceless' individuals who are part of the crew are from the Federation.

Depends on the vehicle

Military co-pilots in fighters or bombers perhaps fires the weapons and the main pilot performs manuvers

That's more of the Gunnery Staff.

Co-Anything typically deal communications, while being a back-up if the main is incapable of doing the task at the moment.
