Father Knows Best State

Postby Monfrox » Mon Mar 31, 2014 2:35 pm

My Monday hasn't been bad so much as somewhat draining. I had my second history test today, an okay time at Bowling (I came late so I got put in as a vacant first game and lost it, and only tied the second game), went to Russian and met with my presentation partner who couldn't show up last Friday when we were supposed to work together because he had an ROTC exercise that lasted ALL of the weekend, spent the next half hour after class with him in the library talking about what to do for said presentation, went back and got into contact with my RA's friend who's a geology major so he can help me get my shit together for that class tomorrow, then went to where my geology lecture should've been going on and got there about 15 minutes before it was supposed to start only to go scouring through my email after 15 minutes of no one else showing up and find out that it was moved to a different building and had actually started a half hour ago, and now I'm sitting in the Student Union waiting for my friend to come by so we can get food.

I guess I could post. I was waiting for Dunce- I mean Deuce to respond. Though at this rate, I don't think I'll get a response at least for a while.

Ah, aight.

Next time I introduce a character, I'll probably have it so they can be independent of Cerril. Maybe his mother or sister. Or his military advisor.

Why don't you have Saren wander off? He typically seems to be allowed to walk on his own, and I think that that would add an interesting subplot with opportunities for character development. Not to mention, it would permit him to temporarily act independently.
Come to the light side.  We have teamwork, waffles, popcorn, grape juice, and way too much ramen.

Unless one is a genealogist, therapist, geneticist, or FBI agent - who is acting within the scope of their job - to claim that anyone is wrong about their own identity is not merely absurd but also extremely rude.

As good of an idea as that is, Cerril would probably be rather reluctant to let him wander off without his supervision. Not to mention Saren is in a high-chair right now.

Oh. Did not know about the high chair. I was thinking something along the lines of Cerril briefly not paying attention for some reason, and Saren scampering off during that time, likely resulting in Cerril freaking out.

@ Gio- exactly, and not that many risks; at worst he'd probably bump into a grouchy resident.

Exactly. A prince would be a prime kidnapping target. Heck, if it weren't for the fact that having foreign military in Bielefield would be rather douchey (And I think it's against the rules), he'd probably be under full military surveillance at all times.

Perhaps that might work. I'd have to contrive a reason for Saren to want to escape from his chair and go away from Cerril in the first place, though. Saren has been away from Cerril for a few weeks, and being an infant, he's rather attached to his father. Not his mother, though. He doesn't know her.

If I remember correctly, he loves flowers, and thousands of them just sprung up seemingly out of nowhere. Maybe that could motivate him?

Possibly... Although it would be rather odd that a bunch of flowers popped up out of nowhere.

TNEL, it was in the dining room, Kale can manipulate plants, and sprung a bunch of flowers up in there.

I'd be glad to contribute to anything you have, I've got spare characters!

Kei might end up involved with a little sumthin' sumthin' coming up, she could meet Saren or something.

I mean from a plot perspective. As a foal, he'd probably not question it.

Giovenith wrote:Again, risk of things that might eat him.

He probably wouldn't leave the building. Too short to reach the doors, and not to mention if something scared or tried to eat him, he'd probably start crying, and Cerril would hit somebody with a chair.

I guess. If you wouldn't mind doing that, I could have Saren sneak out of his chair while Cerril is busy talking.

I wish I had a pet Saren. If he popped up at my door, I'd probably end up adopting him. New species of talking pony be damned, it's mine.
