I hear ya.

Spent the day frying my brain with all my classes plus an open lab for geology because I missed it last Thursday.

Went to Russian to find the late-night 4 am venture to get my book review done was all for nothing when my professor extended the deadline to 1745 that day, and to put the cherry on top she just now told me that the translations I turned in were for the wrong ones and that I'd need to redo them before class tomorrow.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

Mon, think of CAP monthly safety training only it lasts for the entire day and isn't covering anything interesting. You have a half hour dedicated to "This is a Cessna. It has tires. Let's talk about blocks." And then... it's nothing but the blocks and why blocks are needed.

Well...at least in NESA, once we were done learning about the shit we were being trained on, we actually went out and practiced it.

Though I don't think that I'd go for practicing during a heat wave in the hottest summer most recently to hit the Midwest...

Oh, if only I'd gotten to play with metal around an MRI after the safety briefing and video on that during my research assistant days.

(We did it at the same time as the nurses and other staff down at the hospital, which was right next door, so it kinda covered everything.)

Your NS Nation's Nickname: Terin

Character Name: Leroy Talisman

Character Gender: Male

Character Species: Human

Character Physical Description: Leroy is 6 feet tall, and lean. He is strong, but not buff, at least, not in a bodybuilder way. He is more athletically built. He is lower average weight. He is 30 years old and looks basically the same age. One of his most notable features (Which is different from the pictures) is his ice-cold, ice-blue eyes.

URL to Character Picture, if any: http://i1111.photobucket.com/albums/h47 ... 32739b.png

(12 points to spend, no single power over 8. FLAWS must be applied to characters with powers)
Physical Attributes: All his physical attributes are those of a normal human being. He is fit in an athletic way, and strong, but not super humanly so.

Character Unique Skills(if any):
-Parkour: Leroy has some parkour ability. He is good at climbing, but not masterful at this. He can't do it all as effortlessly as some people you may see on parkour videos.
-Marksmanship: Leroy is a master marksman, but not supernaturally so. He rarely misses his target, but that doesn't mean he never does.
-Swordsmanship: Leroy is pretty good at swordsmanship, but not masterful. There are certainly a lot of people who are better then him at this.
-Alien Language: Leroy can speak an alien language, which is completely and utterly pointless in this RP, because the chances of anyone else speaking it are extremely slim, if not impossible. Only time it might be used would be if he's annoyed and wants to confuse someone.

Character Powers :
Enhanced Stealth: 3- He is a master at stealth, but the skill itself is only a somewhat minor improvement. He can sort of blend with the shadows, so to speak. It makes him pretty much impossible to see to the bare eye, but that's it. With a flashlight or a light source, he could be easily revealed. He can also be detected by heat sensors or heartbeat sensors or anything like that. He could also be seen using nigh vision or heat sensing goggles, or anything like that.

Animal Communication: 3

EXTRA: (Extra things that are neither powers, skills or physical attributes, but I feel they should be mentioned.)
Built In Omni Weapon: Leroy has a plasma gun/knife built in to his left arm. The skin on the back of his arm, from just above his wrist, to about halfway to his elbow is now no longer skin, and is a silvery armor of sorts. In this is a little hole, which is where the weapon come from. The knife starts from a little less then an inch from his wrist, and extends to about the tip of his fingers when his hand is opened. The gun fires with nearly the accuracy of a sniper rifle, but at the rate of a sub machine gun. The problem with it is that it fires plamsa, which has burned the back of his hand (He now wears a slick 'leather' fireproof glove on that hand), and the container of plasma in his hand has to be cooled down occasionally, or it could fry his arm. See weaknesses/flaws for more info.

Space Armor:Leroy's armor isn't super notable. It will protect him to some extent, but does not make him impervious to damage. Beyond that, all it has is the ability to cool itself down, disguising his body heat for stealth, for the most part. Not always guaranteed to work. It also has a HUD.

Character Weaknesses/Flaws:
-Leroy has a hard time focusing on both speaking/understanding both English and the Animal language at the same time, so he will generally not be able to focus on two people talking to him at the same time if one is an animal and the other is speaking English.
-As mentioned with his Enhanced Stealth, he can basically be discovered by anything that would help find anyone with normal stealth.
-With Leroy's Omni Weapon, it's main component is a container of Plasma in his arm, so as you can imagine, it has it's dangers. If not cooled down often enough, the plasma could begin burning up his arm from the inside out. It is constantly painful, whether cooled down or not, and when fired, if he's not wearing his glove, it can badly burn the back of his hand. If submerged in water too long, it could short out. And last but not least, unless he has a way to refill it, it could eventually run out of plasma if used enough.
-The HUD on his suit can be temporarily shorted out with an EMP blast, making it even harder for him to aim then it would be if he didn't have the suit at all. Of course, he could simply take off the helmet, as long as the controls for that don't also short out.

Character Background/Biography: Leroy was raised on a alien planet after his parents abandoned him as a baby, or something like that. He's not entirely sure why they he was abandoned. He was raised by these aliens until he was 13, during which time he was a joker and a prankster, loving life and people. He was sent away from the planet at this age so that he could learn about his own kind, and whatnot. He crash-landed on Mars, which had been terraformed to sustain human life. With no money and no way to take care of himself, he turned to stealing for food. He only ever took what he needed, however. One day, when he was 17, he met a young girl who offered to help him, to better teach him how to steal. He accepted, and quickly fell in love with her. Life was good. He had someone to love, someone he was sure loved him back....Until she tried to kill him two years later. For two years she had pretending to love him, and then shot him in the chest and left him for dead. He was heartbroken, and changed. A doctor found him and took care of him before he could die, much to his annoyance. He was put into therapy to heal his mind, but it was pointless. He killed both the Therapist and the doctor, and ran off in to the night. He now felt that all intelligent beings were violent and greedy, and began killing in the belief that the less people there were, the better the world would be. At the age of 25, He joined up with a group of space criminals called the Space Pirates, and quickly gained reputation from there to be known as one of the most feared men in the Known Galaxy, which consisted of about 4 or so colonized solar systems (Colonized by various races). The Space Pirates and Galactic Police Force had been at war for years, but now things began to go downhill, by way of the Free Robotic Hegemony joining the war, so it was now a three-way war. As time went by, Leroy's reputation continued to grow. At the age of 29, he met a girl named Anaya, who was the only person who could break through his ice-cold shell, and he fell in love. It didn't last, however, because he couldn't trust her, or himself. So he killed her to protect both himself, and her. Now 30, he participated in a Space Pirate project that was supposed to allow for teleportation, but things went wrong, and he was transported in to a sort of alternate past, where he met a wolf named Wolfgang. He quickly discovered that he could talk to Wolfgang, and they decided to find a place to live. Since coming here, he's felt less like killing people and more like settling down. Most of the time, anyway.

Why the character is in Bielefeld/Occupation: To have a place to live until he could find a way to get back to his world. Depending on how things go, though, he may end up simply settling down there. He has no job as of yet.

IMPORTANT:
One paragraph that sums up your character. This paragraph is what we'll use on your player tab on the first page of the thread. This MUST be brief. Your tab will contain a link to your application so people will have full details: Will add once I understand what it should be better.

Your NS Nation's Nickname: Terin

Character Name: Wolfgang

Character Gender: Male

Character Species: Basically Wolf.

Character Physical Description: He's about 3 feet tall, Average weight for a wolf that size. He appears to be around 4 years old (Remember, he's a wolf), and is actually 21.

URL to Character Picture, if any: http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/ ... 2dbb91.jpg

(12 points to spend, no single power over 8. FLAWS must be applied to characters with powers)
Physical Attributes: He has no supernatural attributes. That's not to say that he doesn't have differences from humans. He has basically any physical attribute a normal Wolf would have. Such as wolf-level senses and speed and whatnot, but not supernatural. He has human level intelligence.

Basically, even though he used to be human, he's pretty much just a normal, human level intelligent wolf. Not supernatural anymore, really, beyond his intelligence.

Character Unique Skills(if any): Skills:
Fetch. He does this because he enjoys it. Kind of a side effect of being canine.
Digging.
Doggy Paddle.

Character Powers (if any): He was once able to transform in to a wolf and back to human form, but no longer has the knowledge to do so, nor does he want to leave Wolf form, so though he has a power, it won't be used. He is basically just a normal wolf with human level intelligence now.

Character Weaknesses/Flaws:

Character Background/Biography: Wolfgang was raised by and abusive father who blamed him for his mother's death, as she died giving birth to him. His dad would often get drunk and hit him, then lock him in the basement. It was when he was 13, and his father was particularly drunk that he discovered his power. He transformed into a wolf and attacked his father, nearly killing him before running off in to the night. He turned back in to a human and became a beggar in a nearby town. But it was a town full of assholes, and people would often kick him or spit on him. One day, when he was 14, a group of teenagers came and attacked him. They kicked him and hit him. Laughing and saying that no one would miss him, the leader of a group pulled out a knife. As the light of the full moon glinted off the knife, something snapped inside of Wolfgang, but too slow. The leader stabbed him just before he turned in to a wolf, at which time, all the teens scrambled back, but too late.Wolfgang attacked them, killing two, seriously injuring one. Only one managed to escape, and went home, frantic and talking about werewolves.Wolfgang ran out of the town, bleeding and gravely injured. Soon he collapsed on the side of the road. Luckily a couple were passing by in a car, and stopped when they saw him. They took him in to their car and took him to the vet. The woman stayed in the back with him, stroking him and comforting him. It was then that he felt truly safe for the first time in his life, and then that he decided that being a Wolf was much simpler then being a human. A couple weeks later, the Vet said that he could go free, and the couple decided to take him home with them, despite the Vet's protests about taking a wolf like him home. They never named him, and simply called him 'The Wolf' or 'Wolf', because they felt he was too wild to be given a real name, and he liked it. He stayed with them happily until he was 16, when the woman found out she was pregnant. This brought on mixed feelings. They were overjoyed about it, but at the same time they felt that a 3 foot tall wolf was a bit too big for their first baby, so, with heavy hearts, they sold him. He didn't mind, he understood. He would miss them, but he knew why they did it. He was sold to a family with a 10 year old girl and two parents. Their one condition that they had been given when adopting him was to never give him a real name, and so they didn't. They would occasionally call him 'wolfgang' as a nickname, but mostly they just called him 'The Wolf' or 'Wolf'. He has lived with the family up until recently, when he was separated from them in a fire that spread through the neighborhood. He has since wandered, looking for a new home. While wandering, he met Leroy, and discovered that he could actually communicate with him. Despite Leroy being a bit of a jerk, they became friends. Which probably only happened because he was a dog.

Why the character is in Bielefeld/Occupation: To find a new home.

IMPORTANT:
One paragraph that sums up your character. This paragraph is what we'll use on your player tab on the first page of the thread. This MUST be brief. Your tab will contain a link to your application so people will have full details: Will add this later, once I get a better idea of what it needs.

Note: I would prefer if it remained unknown to at least most people that he's any more then a smart dog.

Approved. You need to add something to "paragraph to sum up character" as this goes into your tab. Even "Wolf is a smart wolf" works.

Also you shortchanged yourself with powers. My suggestions in blue.

Character Unique Skills(if any):
-Parkour: Leroy has some parkour ability. He is good at climbing, but not masterful at this. He can't do it all as effortlessly as some people you may see on parkour videos. 2 Points
-Marksmanship: Leroy is a master marksman, but not supernaturally so. He rarely misses his target, but that doesn't mean he never does. 2 Points
-Swordsmanship: Leroy is pretty good at swordsmanship, but not masterful. There are certainly a lot of people who are better then him at this. 2 Points
-Alien Language: Leroy can speak an alien language, which is completely and utterly pointless in this RP, because the chances of anyone else speaking it are extremely slim, if not impossible. Only time it might be used would be if he's annoyed and wants to confuse someone. NO POINTS needed. Allowed because of background/cultural immersion.

This spends all 12 points and puts him above average in those abilities.

So you think those need points? I was told that only skills that give you powers or something like that needed points.
Times are looking grim these days~

Your NS Nation's Nickname: Min

Character Name: Mezran, Son of Jag'oth, of the House of StoH'raQ

Character Gender: Male

Character Species: Klingon

Character Physical Description: 6'8", 290lbs, 60 (about 35 earth years)

URL to Character Picture, if any: Here and Here

Physical Attributes: Klingons have redundant organs that its society has believed to prolong a warrior's life in battle. Klingons have 3 lungs, 2 stomachs, an 8 chambered heart, even redundant neural functions. Cranial ridges on Klingons' forehead and nose are most noticeable.

Character Unique Skills(if any): Proficient combatant (3) with a Mek'leth and D'k tahg. Above average strength (3), endurance (2), stamina (2), perception (1), and an able commander (1).

Character Powers: N/A

Character Weaknesses/Flaws: Klingons are adverse to the cold, even with their redundant organs, they tend to stay away from such weather. While noted for their strengths, prowess and intelligence, it is their cultural background that limits them to contact with other species. Often Klingons are viewed as violent, loud, arrogant, and overtly hostile even in 'peace time'. Their cultural distinctiveness are often viewed as archaic, even barbaric to other 'civilized' societies.

Character Background/Biography: Mezran was born under a proud House with growing influence on Qo'Nos during - and after - the Dominion War. Never had the family seen such honor and riches bestowed upon them as the House took part in many frontier battles. Mezran, at the start of the war, entered the Klingon Defense Forces as a lowly foot soldier, bringing honor to his father and House however and whenever the opportunity presented itself when faced with the Jem'Hadar. His involvement in many ground assaults against the Jem'Hadar earned him a battlefield promotion and soon found himself as Chief Tactical Officer on a Klingon Battlecruiser, the Hegh'Ta. The warship would soon be part of the final push into enemy territory in the Battle of Cardassia. The ship, her captain and its crew were lauded for their success in its role and survival of one of the most costly wars in Klingon history. Soon after, Mezran was promoted as the Hegh'Ta's commander, while his superior moved upward to commanding a fleet of his own.

After the war in 2377, Mezran and the House of StoH'raQ would pledge its loyalty to the empire and support Chancellor Martok in his bid to secure his power against the House of Duras, a family of traitors. The civil war was brief, but victorious, and the House of StoH'raQ was given additional bounties for its participation. In 2379, the Hegh'Ta joined the 3rd fleet on its assault against the Holy Order of the Kinshaya, in retribution for their attack against an unarmed Klingon farming colony at the fringes of Klingon space. In 2381, on a routine border patrol (silent running), the Hegh'Ta was caught in an unidentified phenomena. Ordering the helmsman to veer off, the maneuver would prove useless and the vessel pulled into what could only be classified as a vortex by visual sensors.

It was all Mezran can remember from it, as he finds himself in a strange city with humans populating the area.

Mezran is a proud warrior that, like many Klingons, hold honor (and especially personal honor) in highest regard. He, like most of his kind, are quick to insult, but also quick to anger, and also quick to be amused by those that can stand up to him. This is not to say that Mezran is incapable of forming friendships, as Klingons are wholly loyal and any debt incurred would be paid back. Mezran holds the ideal of "the flame the burns shortest, burns brightest", and in keeping with the warrior society he was raised in, is unafraid of sacrificing himself in glorious, and honorable, combat.

Why the character is in Bielefeld/Occupation: Unspecified.

Your tab will contain a link to your application so people will have full details: Mezran is a proud and boisterous Klingon, who is (surprisingly) capable of profound loyalty to those that he deems honorable. A (former) Captain of the Hegh'Ta, Mezran has found himself on earth under mysterious circumstances. He doesn't know if going back is possible, but the proud Klingon has pledged to serve in any capacity as long as it is just and does not tarnish his name or that of his House.

Approved but only if he promises to drink with Klaus and the old cyborg.

@Ter. Skills like your character's have points so we can determine how well they'd do when going up against those with similar skills. Eliminates OOC BICKERING.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.
