I made up my mind on what side to choose on the basis that, Scotland has always been a lot more left leaning than the rest of the UK and quite liberal, so it makes sense for us to oppose the giant war machine that is the Axis, especially when our historical ally the French have been conquered by them and forced into servitude as a puppet. Plus, the nationalists are a bit stubborn and would never cooperate, plus I like the idea of fighting a losing battle, it can be fun.
