
Domestic -
President Hector Martinez spends the month touring the nation in order to drum up support for Republican Senate and Gubernatorial candidates. President Martinez puts particular focus on Senate races that the Hispanic vote will have a major impact on, with Hector making an impassioned speeches to the local Latino communities in these areas on why they should vote for the GOP. During this tour, President Martinez also unveils the newest bit of legislation he wants to accomplish this year in Congress: reforming the Education Department to use the voucher system as well as increasing the amount of federally given to College students. As well, President Martinez signs an executive order allowing the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline to continue.
Foreign Policy -
Following through with a campaign promise, President Martinez has succeeded in convincing President Boris Kosomov of the Russian Federation to agree to a meeting between the two in Sochi, Russia. In the upcoming meeting, President Martinez hopes to establish closer relations between the two nations. In other foreign news, President Martinez is also considering a recent request from the new Cuban Government to restore relations between the United States and the aforementioned Caribbean isle. The flight had been a long one, but now Hector was able to finally disembark from Air Force One. Descending from the iconic plane, a nearby band struck up the Star Spangled Banner as he shook hands with Prime Minister and former Russian President Vladimir Putin at the bottom of the staircase.
"Hello, Mr Prime Minister." Said Martinez
"Greetings to you, Mr President. Come, Boris is expecting you!" Said the Russian, whose handshake was a strong one.
With that said, Hector was soon in a car heading to the Hotel where he would meet his Russian counterpart.
