But still. Its cool that you know lots about weaponry? Do you intend to join the military, or do weapons just interest you?

- 7.92 mm Maschinengewehr 34 - Secondary armament
- 80 mm frontal armour and 30 mm of side and rear armour
Personality: Melancholic, quiet, introverted
Bio: The academy librarian in War Gears, Gudrun is, to put in a simple word, old. Born into an aristocratic family in East Prussia, the girl's origins were sketchy in her memory at best. Seeing her first action as an assault gun mage in the Wehrmacht in the Battle of France, her utmost claim to fame was the dreaded dirt fields of the Soviet Union, claiming the heads of some seventy tanks, including twenty four enemy mages. When Gudrun was injured and lost her 7.5 cm StuK 40 L/48 cannon in Kursk, she was stationed back at France for recuperation and repairs. However, when D-Day took place, she was quickly pulled out of the hospital and refitted with a salvaged 7.5 cm KwK 42 L/70 - her current weapon - to repel the invasion. It was to be her final action in the war, where she assisted in resisting Commonwealth forces at Caen right up to her capture as a POW.
Ever since release, she found herself homeless (being on the wrong side of the Iron Curtain), destitute (possessions back home confiscated by the Soviets) and languishing in a desk job in a HQ for the occupation forces, and later the Bundeswehr, in West Germany. Naturally, even her once fearsome weapons and armour - which could not be removed at the risk of her life - were also rendered obsolete by Cold War advancement. As a result, she could no longer find employment in the one place she found fulfilment most - the battlefield. Thus, having taking up a job in War Gears Academy, she found herself resigned to reading old historical records and books of past conflicts, her bored appearance becoming signature of her in the school.
Rarely speaking beyond work-related matters, Gudrun was hardly sociable at all. Staring into space when not faced with urgent tasks, her lack of sound unintentionally made her as creepy as a ghost. As a result of her traits, her colleagues and students often suspected her of turning senile. But such behaviour, as those who knew her best would refute, were long part of her since her battles in Russia. Despite the kind of carnage she faced, Gudrun never really felt any lasting ill-will towards her former opponents. To her own admission, she presumed that she might have stopped caring after seeing so much. That, however, did not her from attracting the ire of any younger mage who knew about her from her grandmother's horror stories. Even then, she never actively confronted them, quite resigned to being fingered as a villain.
