I'm not going to force anyone to do that. I recommend that players create their own disasters and stuff, but that is all.

I think so, it really depends on the local rivers, though. Floods aren't as violent and often there as not.

In fact, floods played major roles in the Egyptian and Mesopotamian civilization, counter-intuitively they helped encourage population growth.
