Biography: Originally designed to replace the AK-74, the AN-94 was, in 1994, selected to be the new service rifle of Russia. She fires the first two rounds of each burst at 1,800 RPM, so both bullets leave the barrel before the shooter experiences any recoil. This gives the AN-94 on-point penetration similar to that of the American .30-06 cartridge, in a much smaller and lighter package. She feeds from normal AK-74 magazines, although they are fed at an odd angle due to the recoil-assisted-gas-operation that she uses.
