Gewehr Academy isn't an average school, it's an academy for guns. Located in Germany, and named after the German word for gun, the weapons here are Western like it's sister school, Seishou Academy.
These schools have something called wargames, where the students test their skills in battle. Because they are guns, they don't bleed or die from gunshots, although an experienced shooter may be capable of seriously wounding them.
In the East, another school rises...
Red Steel High, like Gewehr Academy, is a school for guns, unlike Gewehr, the guns are Eastern. Rumor has it that all the teachers are Russian officers, and the school is funded by the Russian Army. They are hostile to both Gewehr and Seishou Academies, and view the West as weak.
