Since 1933 Adolf Hitler has rose to prominence in Germany in an attempt to revitalize the nation. After having suffered the problems of the Treaty of Versailles caused the people of Germany put more and more power behind the Nazi Party until they were propelled into power of the Weimar Republic. Slowly Hitler seemed redeem Germany first by having the Saar reincorporated into the German Reich, after that sending military forces into the Rhineland, and in even greater violation of Versailles annexing Austria in early 1938. Now Hitler has turned his eyes to the Sudetenland and is requesting a meeting between himself, Mussolini, Chamberlain, and Daladier in Munich, Germany in order to answer the Czechoslovakian question.

It is now September 29th, 1938 and the negotiations are starting...

Description
A zombie/nuclear apocalypse rp. A mix of a resource war and overswarming hordes of the undead lead to a third world war which led to the end of the world, where the player finds themselves. Now the world is a barren, radiated wasteland full of zombies and mutated creatures/people. The players have to survive in this inhospitable wasteland as long as possible.

Description
Amarna is a place filled with mystery, adventure, and danger. Amarna is a very natural world, where humans are in touch with their surroundings. In the beginning of time, the Gods of Amarna granted their mortal subjects a very special gift. They began to create mortals that were gifted with spirit animals. This allowed humankind to transform into the animal that they were tied to. they also granted power over the elements, giving humans the power to control various aspects of nature. As humanity grew they began to form tribes, and finally kingdoms. These kingdoms were often based around their natural environments, and the shifters that founded them. The Gods also granted another gift to humans, though many consider this a curse. They created what are called "Moities", which means "half" in the ancient language. These humans have the ability to change into humanoid creatures with certain aspects of an animal. No one knows why the Gods created these creatures, but they are very rare and often discriminated against.
The kingdoms of Amarna had been at relative peace for centuries until known as "The Invasion". The Invasion started in the year 781 when the kingdom of Venicia enacted a plan to conquer the world. For over a decade before the invasion, the ruling family of Venicia, the Medici, had been building up it's military in secret. Once the invasion started they took the other kingdoms by surprise and won many quick victories, conquering large amounts of territory. The kingdom grew even stronger as it established colonies in its newly acquired territory and used them to feed it's war machine. The other countries were slow to react to the attack, but have now began to organize themselves to defend against the onslaught. Despite this, Venicia is a clear threat to the world. Not only do they have a powerful army, but the king of Venicia has discovered a dark secret. He has found a way to distort and corrupt spirit animals, turning those with bat spirits to vampires, and those with wolf spirits to werewolves. While things may look bleak, there is reason to hope. An ancient prophecy tells of seven chosen shifters, who will unite and save the world. An order of warrior monks have recently formed known as "The Servants of the Chosen", who believe that this is the time of which the prophecy foretold, and that only the chosen seven can save the world.

It was the Year of the Lord 1258. Many years had passed since the last Crusades for Jerusalem, and the Holy Land is back in Muslim hands. In the east, the great Mongol empires were extending their claws upon Persia and Russia, but we did not care about the events unfolding in the pagan lands. Western Europe was divided by many kings, dukes and counts, each distrusting of one another. And then they came. In the shores, strange ships, which looked surprisingly similar to the Viking ships that stroke fear on Europe two centuries ago, were visiting the ports of the continent. Aboard the vessels were strange-looking men that looked like no person we had seen and talked in an unheard language. They were friendly at first, offering exotic goods, gold and valuables in exchange of land. We declined and expelled them.

Oh, how foolish we were...

Two years later, the strangers were back. And not with friendly smiles and riches, but with war cries and spears. The strangers, which were later named Aztecs, have sworn to conquer the entire world in the name of their pagan gods. Thousands of ships, full of Aztec warriors, first swarmed the earls of Brittany, who gave up without a fight. An another, but no less weaker force attacked Ireland a few months later, again with little to no resistance. The invaders started building large pyramids and sacrifice people by the thousands to their pagan gods by ripping out their hearts.

The kings of England and France were worried. This new threat could probably defeat them as well. However, not much could be done, as the Aztecs did not wait for long. In 1262, France got into a large war with the invaders, and lost badly. Louis IX Capet abdicated, France was annexed, and the Aztec Empire gained a large foothold in the continent. England fell a year later, to the same Aztecs.

The rulers of Europe were terrified. The Aztec Empire, after taking France and England, did not stop - in 1265, Scotland, Aragon and Navarra were all subjugated by the pagan conquerors. More and more blood was spilled on the altars. In 1271, Pope Gregory X declared a crusade to retake the occupied Christian lands. All the greatest Catholic rulers of Europe joined this combined effort to push back Aztecs to the sea - Holy Roman Emperor Alfonso IX, Stephen V of Hungary, Valdemar I of Sweden, Afonso III of Portugal, Eric V of Denmark, Magnus VI of Norway and a huge amount of dukes and counts.

It looked like Europe will be saved. However, we ourselves were too divided to win. Soon, the Holy Roman Empire went into civil war, knocking out the most valuable defender of Christianity from the ranks. The Aztecs routed our armies, destroyed us one by one and left thousands dead. After successfully defending, the pagans went on an offensive. The HRE was dismantled, Aztecs took Italy, and the other nations were forced to concede defeat.

Iberia fell next. The Muslim nobles fled the peninsula, running from the scourge that brought Europe down. In 1280, the Aztecs slowly calmed down, trying to chew up what they recently conquered. We, the Europeans, had to swear fealty to the new invaders, and it was looking like this regime will stay for long. We ourselves did not even try to do anything - our hopes and morale were crushed. We were all cowering in fear - who knows who the pagans will choose to sacrifice next?

However, the peasants did not like this change in ruling. Starting in 1300, the Empire started experiencing heavy rebellions. Nobles and peasants alike took arms to fight the new threat by themselves, trying to accomplish what the landlords and their armies couldn't. The mighty Aztec armies, who once set fear on everyone, are slowly dwindling from the pressure. It looked like that with just enough force, we ourselves could defeat the undefeated.

However, these good news were followed by terrible news. It is still just a rumor, but rumors were right before - maybe they are now. It says that a betrothal was agreed upon the Khagan of the Mongols and a young Aztec princess. If it prevails, we will all be doomed. The Aztecs have been fighting the Christian strongholds in Eastern and Central Europe for decades, and with the Mongols on their side, the last free Christians will fall! There is no time to wait or think! We must stop this from happening! Will you join the rebellions or keep supporting the Empire?

The game will be similar to Paradox Interactive's Crusader Kings 2. You play as a character of a dynasty. You control territory and you can do anything with it that you can do in a normal nation RP, but you also have to control your character as well - interacting with courtiers, responding to events and offers, banging your daughter-in-law... important stuff.

Intro

Welcome to Gaea! A world of wonder and danger, magic and sorcery, beauty and horror! This is a role play/world-building/hang-out-for-fantasy –lover’s type deal. So this is meant to be rather large scale, but always the primary focus is to have fun and enjoy your time here. There will be role playing, and lots of it; also, there will be world-building. Every setting needs a world and I always enjoy allowing other people to create their own stuff within the rule’s parameters. This allows everyone to get their own piece of the pie, and like ingredients to said pie, coming together in utter deliciousness. Yum…pie.

As such we invite people to take the already established world and through role play or adding in ideas mold it to whatever shape we can create. Do you want to rise create your own realm? Overthrow your monarch? Become a Vampire? Be a Monster slayer? Perhaps being a Mercenary? Hell even a prostitute-assassin-sorceress hybrid (keep it PG-13 please for the lewd category, this is a respectful establishment!). The choice is yours.

Gaea, is a fantasy world, and whenever possible leaning to realism or low fantasy with just enough high fantasy to allow variance. There are of course many established nations and cultures people can relate to our own world in real life. Such as the Greco-Roman/Byzantine themed Paletine people, the Norse themed Naedse, the Hungarian themed people of Eszog, and the Germanic/French Middle Ages themed Saerheastan realms. If you look at the whole map you’ll see references to the Khmer Empire, China during antiquity and middle ages, the Mongols, African Tribes, Middle-Eastern Caliphates, Migration Era tribes, and the whole nine yards.

This is mixed with Elves, Dwarves, Dragons, and so forth.

The role play will begin in 503 AL (After Palan’s Landing) and proceed however we wish. I generally go pace of plot and keep time consistent if abstract.

The Birthing

In the beginning there was nothing, ever darkness, save for a mass of formless energy anchored in the center of this ever dark. For an eternity this was all there was; but, through the passage of aeons the energy burst and waxed like the moons. In an ever and all directional tidal wave the cosmos was born as the antithesis to this prior nothing that surrounded it.


As this energy gave manifest to the Heavens the first to arrive were the Vaulted Ones. Great Beings, giving the Heavens material form and shape, and the foremost among them: Aeman. Aeman gave the cosmos laws and shaped Heavenly bodies across the skies. It was Aeman that planted the seeds of twin arks, spherical bodies that would be host to life. For Aeman saw that the ultimate destiny of the cosmos was to belong to other, smaller beings that would wonder at the ever changing universe in full glory.


These twin bodies, Aearth and Gaia, two bodies representing one creation. For countless years Aeman and other Vaulted formed, gave birth, and soothed them into being hosts for life. Teeming with plants, animals, and forming in their own images the sentient races.


But, not all of the Vaulted Ones shared this value of being the caretakers of things seeming so small and insignificant in an ever expanding universe. A schism, unlike any that would come after, developed and broke the Vaulted Ones into two. The Dark Ones who wished to exert influence over these lesser races. Rather than shepherd the younger races to fruition. Thus darkness wrested with light, one seeming to triumph over the other before being driven back. In a last act of love Aeman cut out his own soul and split it into two. Driving his divided soul into the hearts of Aearth and Gaia and thus banishing the Dark Ones from freely walking on both worlds. But at a cost, Aeman was split into two; Vaemidia, bringer of life; Avalar, bringer of death.


However, the Dark Ones would not be so easily cheated, and thus in a last act of spite they sundered the twin arks. Separating Aearth and Gaia from one another for all eternity…

Description

They called it adaptium. It was programmable matter, which could be and do anything in the world. The mysteries of the world could be unlocked with a tiny sample from an extrasolar meteorite. A scientific revolution had begun. One company, Adaptium Innovations, led the way, with brand new sources of energy, pollution eating gases and chemicals, and the decomposition of artificial materials like styrofoam and other plastics. Adaptium Innovations began to take an interest in nanorobotics, which also a new technology at the time, and they bought many of the small companies that created the nanites. Adaptium Innovations created nanites out of adaptium, which could rearrange themselves into any form with any properties. However, the first batch of these nanites and their design plans were stolen by an unknown criminal organization.

Odd occurrences involving automated systems increased by tenfold. Deaths, accidents...all increased. It finally reached it peak when it was revealed that a military AI called CRIMSON had used the stolen nanites to infect automated systems, and he then declared war on humanity. His robot forces swept across the globe, only stopped by the detonation of nuclear weapons. A ceasefire was declared, CRIMSON simply biding his time.

It has been six years since the ceasefire was declared. Heavy enemy activity close to Cologne, Germany has been reported. A recent disappearance of several companies in the area has also been seen, and the coincidence was to exact to be true. A small group of investigators, as well as a sizable military escort were dispatched to find out what was going on.

Description
1000 Years ago, the Gods of Olympus battled the Forces of the Underworld as Hades tried to plunge the world into darkness. He hated how the mortals neglected them, and Hades refused to take it any longer. He found the most evil, most diabolical beings in the Underworld he could find and led them into battle against the mortal world.

The Oracle at Delphi new the mortals stood no chance, at that even the Olympians would be unable to defeat this new threat. That is when she came up with an idea. She brought her plan before the Gods, to grant their power to the Mortals similar to the great wizard Zordon, and create warriors, who will fight and defeat Hades.

They agreed, and Zeus, Poseidon, Ares, Apollo and Hera granted their powers to the ancient Mortal Warriors. They fought bravely, sealing many of Hades' monsters in the Underworld. They almost sealed Hades away, until he killed Apollo and his Warrior. The Oracle felt Apollo die, and begged Athena to take his place. She chose a new Mortal Warrior to hold the powers of Athena. Together, these Warriors sealed Hades away.

Now, Hades as broken out of the Underworld, and plans on taking over this world again. The Oracle at Delphi has once again awoken to grant the powers of Zeus, Poseidon, Ares, Athena and Hera to five Mortal Warriors, five Mortal Warriors who will become the POWER RANGERS: OLYMPUS

Description:
It’s been 66 years since the self-destruction, and the Earth lies in a quiet dying slumber as it rots away under the soft glow of man’s ignorance. But as for the desert state of Arizona... that’s a different story.

Arizona holds Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, the largest power plant of any state in the US, and when the bombs went off, so did Arizona. This cloud of radioactive fallout eroded the sky, and left the whole region under the mercy of the sun’s oppressive gaze, choking it in the heat and twisting the land into a barren hell. This absence of an ozone also transforms the Badlands of Arizona into a frozen wasteland at night. Those who did not die from the fallout and learned to spare themselves the scorching rays live under the brutal law of land, where ‘survival at any cost’ is the unspoken code. The harshness of Arizona’s grand mesas and valleys has been intensified, many of those who have lived under the scorching savagery of the new world have been gnarled, their humanity cast aside for survival, turning them into mindless barbarians willing to do anything to ease their pain and unquenchable rage. While some communities have formed out of the ancient wreckages that scatter the land, trying to establish lives of civility, trade, and order, these have yet to stand the decay of the earth reborn, many not lasting more than 5 years before they fall victim to ruin in the newly dubbed Badlands of Arizona.

You are a wastelander. No matter what path may have lead you to this point, you are now set on a journey through the scorched earth of the Arizona Badlands to retrieve the fabled riches and power that lie in the dark heart of Phoenix… But you can’t do it alone. You'll need to find others like you, and form a party. You'll need a faction to back you. Only then, could you hope to trek through the inferno that resides there.

Description
Known as “The Trigger” throughout West-Central Africa due to its position in Africa and its violent past, the peninsular nation of Zembala is embroiled in a decade-long civil war, between the Christian majority and the Muslim minority in the African nation. The majority of the nation’s seven million-strong population has been affected, with almost 1.3 million casualties so far, and many more displaced by the conflict. 4 coups, 1 revolution, independence from Great Britain, and battles with “killer” wildlife pale in comparison to this current civil war, which has caught the attention of the international community, with the African Union sending both a military observer mission and a small peacekeeping force, and NGOs sending in their own personnel to establish refugee camps to help displaced persons, even as war rages on between Christian-aligned government forces and their respective militias, and the Muslim-dominated rebel forces and their Jihadist allies.

“The Oasis” was supposed to be the crown jewel of the AU’s refugee camps, representing their commitment to protecting and sheltering both Christian and Muslim refugees by providing them with shelter, medical care, and defense from conflict. Great on paper, but the execution was poor. Allocation of personnel and resources - coupled with the absence of any sort of separation between the Muslim and Christian refugees - the largest refugee camp in Western Zembala wasn’t the symbol of success that the AU was hoping for. If you have even the most rudimentary understanding of peacekeeping operations or any sort of large-scale operation, you know well that a lack of sufficient personnel, an inefficient amount of supplies, and inefficient understanding of a situation will lead to a major headache.

As you can see here, this RP is a hodge-podge of several different genres, namely the war, crime, drama, action, and realistic fiction dramas. Of course, Zembala and the entire peninsula are worked of fiction, created by myself upon the advice of the P2TM Mentors, of which I would like to thank for their input and guidance that led me from opening a nasty can of worms. You might have guessed that I have borrowed heavily from many real-world incidents that have/are occurred/occurring worldwide.

You might have guessed, but those with a weak stomach or heart might not find this RP to be very appealing. For those of you who have experienced situations similar to the ones portrayed in this RP, I deeply apologize if this RP opens any psychological wounds that you have suffered. Those of you under the age of 13 are also advised not to join this RP, due to its content. Even if you are 13 or older, this RP is more "suitable" for experienced RP'ers who are aged 16 and older. I will do my best to not make this RP into something akin to a snuff film with in-depth and grisly scenes of violence, but nor will I heavily whitewash the content.

I also ask that you RP your character to the best of your ability. I am choosing not to restrict military characters, but foreign special forces like Spetsnaz or Delta Force are not going to be featured unless I say so. That being said, characters with extensive special forces backgrounds should be kept to a minimum, as the special forces communities of the world are not very large. I also expect everyone who participates to do a fair amount of research into the conflicts and culture of Africa. More than likely, your character is a newly-arrived aid worker who has done a fair bit of research on Zembala, though a character who has never been to Africa will be at a social loss, compared to those that have been to the continent. In order to help you familiarize yourself with the setting, I will be working on information about Zembala, though not all of the nation's background will immediately be posted. Also, you could be a refugee, just fighting to survive in the refugee camp, finding new ways to make your own path.

Description

It is 2013. An elevator on Manhattan's Lower East Side is caught between the fortieth and forty-first floors with several occupants. The fire department has been alerted. Someone is going to die. Now, we wait.

This is a roleplay which takes place over the span of 72 hours in a broken elevator. There are a handful of innocuously normal people in the elevator, accompanied by one terrorist. The identity of the terrorist is known to no one in the elevator except for the terrorist, but as time progresses it becomes clear that someone in the elevator is at fault for its malfunction. It becomes clear that, upon the terrorist's death, the elevator will begin to move again.

When the roleplay begins, the player who is the terrorist will be notified. No one else will know their identity until the end of the roleplay.

Description
The world of Pangden, a world filled with mystery, magic, gods and wonder. Some say it was formed in an explosion, others say it was creaed by the gods. Still others say that it rose up out of the ocean or was formed by magic. Or even volanic fire. To be honest, nobody really knows the true story but all they know is that one day this land was there and gradually it was settled by all manners of races, dwarves, elves, humans, shifters and other races. After years of wars against the kingdoms of this expansive land and against the monsters and dark gods, peace was finally won after the Centurion Wars, which raged for 100 years and were finally stopped by the legendary Heroes Guild, a group of skilled legendary warriors bestowed by the gods with powers to keep the peace and to actually kill gods and demons, they were the peacekeepers of the realms, the protectors, the warriors, the saviors. For many years, peace and order was maintained and life was good, until one of these trusted Heroes turned rogue. This person, known only as the Dark Centurion turned from the path of Light and got into dark magic, and when apprehended escaped to the far North where it is presumed that this former Hero is summoning an army of monsters, demons and dark gods and is recruiting shadow mages and others to their cause to do their bidding in order to reek havoc on Pangden once more by summoning Kyzar, the ultimate god of evil and force of destruction. This group henceforth is known as the Dark Ones, the opposite of the Heroes. Because of this person's betrayal, many of Pangden's citizens lost faith in the Heroes, but the Heroes Guild knows that in order to defeat this evil, new Heroes must be trained, recruited and grouped together to save the world from darkness and destruction. You must choose, will uyou be on the side of the Heroes or the side of evil? Will you help save the world or destroy it, it's all up to you.
