With a bat at hand and reasonable calm, Niall set foot into the warehouse. The idea of a bug-bomb was in Niall's mind, but a swing of a whifflebat seemed acceptable to them. The only question that remained was whether the cockroach hid or was going to attack. In order to make it extremely clear, Niall hummed to the tune of "Sweet Polly Oliver" with intents of making the damned thing pick-a-fight with the noticeably off-key singing.

You enter the warehouse to find it darkened and devoid of people. Your search doesn't take long however before the infernal cockroach suddenly appears in front of you. The process of the world fading away and being replaced by an open space with a similar theme to the warehouse would be disorienting to you but you are the veteran of many a combat tutorial in hero school so you know just what to do! You don't even have to wait since it's your turn first - seems like you have a higher agility than it does at the very least.

Aria smiled and hugged her father after receiving her well-earned 25 EXP, before hearing that the village elder was looking for her. "Oh, alright. I'll be back later then." She said to him, before heading out of her house and towards the town square to find the village elder, wondering what he wanted with her.

"Maybe he'll give me some more free items!"

The village square is an open field in the center of town with a communal well more or less in the center. The village elder is here, a gnarly old man with an epic beard and a staff that's just as gnarled. He greets you as soon as you get there.

Elder: Hello Aria! I suppose you want to know why I sent for you? Once a decade I gather all the young men and women that are coming of age and teach them how to fight just in case you ever find yourself in a desperate situation. You might not know this but I was once quite the adventurer and decided it would be important to show young people the basic fundamentals of giving any stray monsters that come by the village a beat down.

Rigo grumbled as he walked out of the house. "Why can't they ever let me do what I want to. Oh well, might as well explore." With that, he went to the town and to the Village North.

Aria stared in awe at the village elder's beard for a few moments before actually acknowledging his offer. "Oh, combat...? Well, um, alright." She replied. Truth be told she wasn't much of a fighter, but it never hurt to know how to defend oneself, even if she hoped to, in the future, spend the majority of her time sneaking around rather than being in the fray.

"Surrender now or be turned into red food dye in somebody's smoothie with 'natural ingredients'!" Niall proclaimed rather loudly as she used the only item that he had, a wiffle bat, on the infernal cockroach.

The constable doesn't even seem to notice you, he's too busy wincing every time the intense music coming from the battle inside gets to the beginning of its loop.

Yet again, she struck a pose, imagining the lettering a sparkles again. "Okay father. I'll head off now. bye!" Lilian said. She dashed out of her house and headed towards the town square. She was curious what the elder wanted with her.

Right now I want you to attack me with your butter knife, don't worry about hurting me I'm tougher than I look and can take it.

Completely ignoring Niall, Rigo gets ready for combat. He readied himself by talking to himself. "Calm, controlled, courageous. Calm, controlled, courageous."

Understandably confused, Aria kept staring at the other screen until something the Elder said caught her attention. Namely, the fact that he said he wanted her to try to steal from him. Surely she had misheard?

Nope. She hadn't misheard. She could steal from the Elder! And with his permission! Free items!

She went forward and attempted to steal from the Elder.

Lilian took a few breathes. The attack tired her. Was she this weak. Or was this normal (or game mechanics). After a few seconds she was ready for another attack. She did (or imagined) what the Elder said.

She charged forward at great speed. A few feet before the elder, she took a great leap. She lifted up her blade (NERF sword), aimed for the Elder's head, and swung down with great force.

"Hey, this is my job! If you wanted to get hurt without pay, you could have just punched the constable outside. On a less important note, you could get hurt," Niall said as she pounced for the kill, a very long distance leap that gave her sufficient time to say such a statement.

Aria noticed the tiny red number coming from the top of the Elder's head, and also his battle with Lilian. You reach in to the Elder's pocket and find a single keikec! Your PILFER was a success!

Elder: Well done! You might have noticed that your SP has decreased by a few points. Every time you use a skill it will cost some of your SP. SP can only be regained through resting or by using items. I'm going to give you a CaffPow which will restore your lost SP when you drink it. Select ITEM and then CAFFPOW to restore your SP.

Once again the world fades away and the Infernal Cockroach sits on the top of the wide open battle space. Looks like it's your turn.

"Alright, let's get this over with!" Yells Rigo, hand in the air in his best heroic pose. "STAAAAATTTTIIIIICCCC ZAAAAAAAAAPPPP!" Rigo uses Static Zap on the Infernal Cockroach.

The spell causes your magic wand to get electrically charged. It's not lightning from the sky but you gotta take baby steps right? When you poke the Infernal Cockroach with the wand it takes a hell of a static shock and suffers 10HP of damage!
