Chimerican economy and infrastructure .
The Chimerican economy is a developing one. Currently they depend on various foodstuff's, such as Maize, beans and coffee to keep their economy in check. Other products include wallets, textiles, and clothing. 45% of Chimericans work minimum wage jobs in sweat shops while the 70% work on farms and 20% are either working in a trade, or are in poverty. Presidente Olmec's regime has attempted to improve the infrastructure of the country, modernizing roads and buildings.Through the major cities roads and buildings are more properly maintained, much to the rural(Which makes up 89% of the country) population disdain.
Much of the infrastructure of Chiamerica has been destroyed in civil war.
Military.
The Chimerican military mostly comes from deserters and rebels from the rebellion against General Farsante regime in 1979, the military is armed with a mixture of American and Soviet arms, which has created huge logistics problems. The military used to be split between two factions, the official military; the ejército revolucionario nacional, and the remnants of the US backed Farsante guard, the military of Farsante's dictatorship. The National Revolutionary Army (Ejercito revoluctionario nacional) wished to be equipped with more modern equipment, to fight off foreign invaders, while the Farsante Guard, which had the most modern equipment at the time, wished to be the elite corp of the military.
The stalemate was broken by President Olmec, who disbanded the Farsante Guard, forcibly, mostly because they refused to give up their weapons and other equipment. A five day rebellion coup attempt happened, with the Farsente Guard being pushed to the mountains.
This angered the US government, who funded and gave equipment to the Farsante Guard, and was the beginning of the US spying on the Chimerican government.
Now, the National Revolutionary Army, is equipped with mostly FN FAL's, M41 Walker Bulldog's and M48 Patton's in the ground forces, some outdated destroyers, frigates and cruisers in the navy, and English Electric Lightning's and Dassault Mirage III's in the Air force.
In April this year, the Soviet Union began to secretly supply the National Revolutionary Army.
Chimerican history.
The Chimerican history is like most Latin American nations, they where discovered by Spanish explorers, the explorers killed most of natives. During the Latin American civil wars, the people of Chimerica rebelled, and then where reconquered by the Spanish, then rebelled again, and then where conquered again, until 1885, when Spain agreed to grant Chimerica Independence.
Chimerica stayed out of WW1 and only sent abut 4,450 soldiers to fight in Italy during WW2. 1952, was when Farsante took power, supported by the US. His rule lasted until 1978, when the people rebelled, war crimes where committed by both sides, and in 1979, the battle of Paraquaye, happened, ending in Farsante died, and his guard surrendering.
Soon, a man named Olmec took power, appointed his ministers, and began to try and reform the nation.
Of course, in December, he basically gave the US the middle finger, by agreeing to be supplied by the USSR, and further trying to destroy the remnants of the Farsante guard.
The Farsante guard tried to overthrow Olmec in January, but was beaten down, about five days after that, a US spy plane was shot down, furthering the Chimerican hate for the US.
The US, fearing another Cuban Missile Crisis, began plans for invasion, but is currently trying to talk down Olmec.
