Avitus
The vampire silently watched the ceremony from his seat. To him, Vesper's outburst only showed to him that she wasn't ready for the actual position. He believed that, combat wise, she was ready for the job, but she had just proven his worst fear about bringing her into the AGA. That she was young, immature, self entitled, and overconfident from the looks of it. If she wasn't, she would have understood why someone so young and inexperienced wouldn't be immediately made a full member of the AGA. She would have realized why they did what they did, or at least kept her emotions hidden until she could discuss it in private rather than in front of everyone. In the end, though, Avitus wasn't to upset. At least she had the courtesy of removing herself before her poor personality traits put someone in danger. Perhaps she could iron out the problems on her own. If she could accomplish that she would make a good addition to the alliance, no doubt. Raverhood, on the other hand, was exactly what Avitus hoped the recruits would be. Strong in one way or another, decent leader, very mature. Even though he was younger than Vesper, he didn't act like it. Both he and Vesper could go far, but right now he was by far the better of the two, and Avitus was glad he'd be staying.

Avitus looked over to Vendettra. "Well, that was rather unfortunate." He said, keeping his expression and tone neutral.

Psychotic Dictatorship

Sebastian stood and sidled out of the hall, avoiding the eyes if the assembled heroes. Once he was out of the view if the media and the heroes, he began to stride after Vesper. Once he had caught up to her, he matched her pace and said "Tough break. Honorary guardian; that's the best they could give you?" he smiled "Digital Shadow, at your service" he held out a hand for her to shake.
I'm on AEST time zone so I probably won't reply to posts or TMs until what most of you consider very late at night.

My Nationstates nation does not reflect my actual views etc.

Tobias', who still stood onstage, eye brow raised at the arguing and blow up of Vesper, he never understood children. He saw no need for his presence here, he was neither a fan nor a member of the All Gurdians, hell he wasn't even considered one of the good guys most of the time. He turned and walked down the steps that edged the stage, making his way to the elevator, brushing past several annoyed groupies in the crowd who glared at the intruder. He tapped the first floor button and rode the machine to the lobby, where he stepped out, looked from left to right, and took in his surroundings. Satisfied he was the only mutant around, he made his way out the building's front doors, which were a large intricate set, and took a seat on a bench across from the building and began to read a newspaper he'd found on his way to the spot.

In the area his sat, the mutant created a small bubble in time, creating a small vicinity around him that was exempt from passage of time. He could still hear outside incursions but he mainly created bubbles like this for an isolated time where he could read, meditate, and other things, without being disturbed by change of light or physical distractions.

Arkhaven, Haven Tower, Assembly Hall of Ceremonies
Jolevier Tash and Charlotte Simms

From a business perspective, Vesper only did what was prudent. An organization cannot expect somebody to invest so much in it without a full seat at the table. She would be giving the AGA her time, effort and safety without full membership. Jolevier would never have accepted those terms without great compensation. Perhaps Vesper should have accepted her status but he did not see anything unreasonable. The outburst would attract public attention though and certainly would not bode well for the AGA's image. Nothing that cannot be fixed however. What Jolevier had to think about now was that there was a free agent on the market. One who would be very selective of her allies, given that Vesper was no mercenary. Perhaps she would find the private sector to her liking. He activated a small device in his pocket. A sound suppressor that would make it impossible for anyone to hear their conversation.

"We need to pick her up." He said to Charlotte. "A hero running around by herself may not last long and she is an asset that could be used for...malicious purposes being only so young. We can direct her towards the right goals."

"Very well. I'll contact her when I can." Charlotte responded.

Meanwhile at the construction site...

The plan was in motion, Dr. Velociraptor kept monitoring the ceremony hall in case they were alerted. He ran his claw over his bazooka, longing to fire straight at their stupid mammal faces. Although, stealth and timing were of the essence and he did not want to be followed when his side scheme came into fruition. On a crude radio transmitter with what appeared to be a radar screen, he manuvered the submarine into place as well as his van.

At the foot of Haven Tower...

The crowd of reporters awaited, although a few went over to cover the destruction of a nearby fast-food branch. Those that remained never thought to look down, nobody ever does until they hear a crunch beneath their feet. Countless roaches gathered and began climbing onto the members of the crowd. The Mantis flew down and landed before them. "We rule the world already, you just don't realize it! You live in fear of our mere presence! Rise my kin and remind them who ruins their crops, destroys their communication, and infects them with disease!" she shrieked towards the crowd. The show was a distraction and for publicity. After all, crime rates spiking during the cerekony could only be beneficial to mar the image of the AGA. "The League of Mad Science will end your broken civilization and usher in a new Golden age under the rule of reason!" The Mantis proclaimed as she looked for something to smash.

Meanwhile at Ryker's Island...

The submarine fired a single torpedo into the Neptunicon, blowing a hole in the underwater facility. As the water rushed in a giant metal figure came through. Lord Westerberg scanned his surroundings for resources and targets worth his time. "Surrender your allegiance or die!" Westerberg challenged the remaining staff as his guns were purged of water.

Meanwhile at LaGuardia Airport...

The flight from London had arrived, late as was typical for airlines. The driver had waited with his sign for Mr. Baker. This was his life, driving limos for people was quite dull. But occasionallyhe heard some interesting things. An old kan approached the driver and chuckled. "After all this time, they still send cars for me." Mr. Baker said as he pulled his bags along.
