That being said, the Dominion Marines are well trained, and armed. And are granted freedom if they survive for a certain amount of years, unless they committed treason, which they are out of luck and serve in the Marines for the rest of their lives. The Dominion see's this as an easy way to get rid of criminals, and keep the Marines numbers good, as their is always a ready supply of convicts to replace KIA ones.
Now on the Dominion of Man, which if you follow, are humans. They are a fascist and authoritarian regime, a plutocracy oligarchy ruled by the Three families. They are xenophobic and homophobic, xenos are treated as second and third class citizens, and homosexuals too.Of course, Xenos are not allowed to join the Marines, for obvious reasons.
