My main point is that I like this nation much better than The Ferret Revolution I'm just not sure if I'm willing to give up the post count, the population size, and everything like that. That and people are pretty used to calling me ferret by now.

Write a massive "I AM FERRET" in your sig.

Hmm Rouge Trader ey? Siege Tanks wouldn't work well there, suppose I'd have to make do with a Goliath...

In the beginning, Wail Industries was nothing more than a local lumber company. Owned by John Wails, it became the most efficient in the local area and quickly became the wealthiest. After buying the last of the lumber companies, Wail Industries became a lumber monopoly, generating millions of dollars a year. With all the wealth, Wail Industries moved on to mining and manufacturing. The first Wail brand was Wail TVs. The Wail brand became so popular the company took over the market. Soon, it became apparent the Wail Industries was becoming a monopoly, and it was taken to court. Wail was found innocent, but it was believed he paid off the court to rule in his favor.
After years, Wail Industries got into robotics, forming military grade drones for foreign and domestic forces. These robotic soldiers were feared and respected around the globe for their power. Eventually, when contact was made with extra-terrestrials, Wail Industries increased its military research. After a while, a fleet of warships, carrying mechanical soldiers, headed off for the newly discovered world of Neros. Wail Industries received backing by the "Axis of Evil", which consisted of North Korea, China, Iran, and other countries. These countries wanting Wail to succeed in order to spread their authority in the galaxy and get a cut in the profits.
Neros is a rocky wasteland, barely able to support life. It barely rains, temperatures are high, and barely any plants grow. However, the planet is rich in fossil fuels and metals. Wail Industries wants these for the wealth they provide. The problem is the native insect warriors, The Swarm.
The Swarm, as previously stated, are a warrior insect race that are native to Neros. They survive the dry and hot conditions by storing rain water in underground chambers and burrowing underground during the day. At night, the bugs come out and fight amongst each tribe. The Swarm are divided into tribes due to survival competions for water and space.
The Swarm are more primitive than Wail Industries, and no one on Earth can stop them due to how much the company contributes to the economy, so The Swarm are on their own. However, the alliance of nations called NATO is deciding whether or not to destroy Wail Industries on Earth or arm the Swarm. Destroying Wail on Earth would save an alien race, but doom them on Earth as Wail Industries is the most powerful economic contributor in the world.

So, this RP is somewhat centered around Avatar(according to a mentor who shall not be named), except instead of the Navi, we get insect warriors and no Avatar bodies you can control from a pod. You may play as one of the Swarm, a rouge Anonymous hacker, a diplomat, or anything. Below are a list of needed information.http://static2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110117161107/finalfrontier24/images/thumb/5/5c/Alpha_Combat_Robot.jpg/500px-Alpha_Combat_Robot.jpg
Armed with an AR-15 semi-auto rifle, these machines are the default unit of Wail's army. They are adaptable to the extreme climate conditions of Neros, making them more practical for engaging the Swarm on their homeworld. They are armored with a meter of steel, making them immune to low caliber bullets. The Kumin
The Kumin are the most populous tribe on Neros. This is due to their large collection of water stored in underground tunnels and heavy defenses along the canyon ridges which provide excellent defense. The Kumin specialize in resource collection, thus are the most productive.
The Comwin
The Comwin are the most aggressive tribe of the Swarm. Each one has been trained early in life to be the perfect fighter. The Comwin are actually very similar to ancient Spartans, in that training begins young and is violent, and weakness is punished with death.
The Desel
Despite their fierce appearence, the Desel are relatively the most peaceful of the Swarm. They are skilled artists, and excellent negotiators. They constantly convince the other two tribes to fight each other, although not all the time. If attacked, they are quit skilled martial artists.
Oh, and the "warships" mentioned in the backstory are just transports. They are not armed.

Indo-pasif archipelago wrote:Zarkenis Ultima wrote:So I decided to toss this idea out for the hell of it.
High Concept: Let's say people wandering the world that remained after an incomplete biblical apocalypse. Yes, that sounds mildly accurate.
Genre/s: I don't know, look below and judge yourself.
Detailed Description: So, there's the present day, okay? Or perhaps a few years into the future or what have you. Now, this world, it was designed with its end in mind. Aeons ago the Creator arranged the End with the Timeless Four, who then proceeded to slumber within Earth, awaiting the moment of its destruction. Back to the present day. The time is nigh... But it hasn't come yet. And it just so happens that a group of archeologists find an ancient structure buried beneath... I don't know. Australia. And they somehow, through sheer idiocy, manage to destroy the structure... And by association, the being sleeping within.
War.
When the End came, the remaining Timeless woke up... Only to find themselves lacking someone. Now let me tell you more about the End. The Creator, bless him, had arranged for the world to end with a bang, so to speak. There was to be a massive Endgame War of cosmological proportions.
But it never came, for obvious reasons.
Humanity didn't go out with a bang, but with a whimper. Pestilence plagued the land and Famine intensified, causing Death to claim millions as humanity stagnated, unable to go on. Demons led by the Shards of Lucifer spilled out onto the lands, while the wicked roamed the earth once again in unholy forms. The Angels fled from the Creator's world, believing the malfunctioning End to be an omen of worse things that were yet to come, leaving the world itself nearly defenseless and in utter turmoil, though the Creator did not complain, for he himself had long ago vanished. Time and space seemed to lose their meaning before this havoc, with strange energies entering the world. And one day, an enormous city, beautiful beyond words and yet shattered and incomplete, fell from the sky and crashed down onto the world, vanquishing everything below. Slowly but steadily, humanity was nearly purged from the face of Earth.
But Earth remained, and humans are known for their tenacity.
And so, in the ruins of a shattered world, where havoc was commonplace and demons and fallen thrived, life went on for mankind. It was tougher, but it was there.
Basically, the plot would be about the characters exploring this world while trying to find some way to restore it. It's the characters themselves I'm not entirely sure about. I don't know what to do with them. I could have them located on one of the cities that people managed to raise after the End, as citizens of that place, who venture out for whatever reason and find themselves implicated on some serious shit. My original plan was to have the Rapture malfunction instead of simply not happening, thus causing it to grab random people from around the present day (Or from before the End, rather), rather than believers, and toss them out somewhere in the world after the End, maybe Armaggedon itself.
So that's what I got. Suggestions are welcome, if anyone has any. Interest is appreciated too. Questions will be answered, if I have the answers.
I like this idea, is this fantasy or survival if I may ask?

Churning out ad after ad of your RP while saying that none of the other things discussed on this thread matter doesn't seem like a very good idea if you actually want to attract people to your RP.

Not to mention the fact that this isn't really the place for advertising an II rp.

I still say that's only because its harder for one individual to put depth into an entire nation. If you had multiple individuals RPing a single nation, you'd see a lot more depth, and probably a better quality RP.

You used to be cool, Quavv. You had the pirates and the mechs and stuff, but then you left and never came back.
