And this is relevant to P2TM...?

Nah, but I was answering to Kass from my phone (which hates quote buttons). I'll take it to TG, but eh.

RP INTEREST
Please provide as much detail as possible.
RP's Overarching Concept: One of NASA's time related programs creates parallel dimensional time travel which gives them access to unlimited resources. However, to test the integrity of this they requested the Navy to send two SEAL teams through the portal to stop a major chaotic event in World and US History
Genre/s: Action, Time Travel, Military, Assassination, Drama (to a lesser degree)
Character or Faction Based: Character
Detailed Description:In 2011 after years of work NASA's secret program TRIARC or Time Research Intelligence and Research Center was successful in finding the absolute dimension of time. With it they found the way to send items back. Over months they established new ways to send bigger items back. Then on the May 7th of 2012 the first living mammal a dog named Kennedy after one of NASA's founders and the former President. He survived and received no damage to any portion of his body. That was when they asked their workers to test it out. Eventually, head of security wanted to show an example of bravery to his men and volunteered. On March 4th, 2013 the first man to travel through time survived the ordeal. However, this form of time travel was not cleared for use due to the risks of a time paradox. Thats when the possibility of interdimensional travel was discovered. When unregulated by safety power, the portal overflew and opened a portal into a parallel dimension which also inhibited time travel. So, to do a test on its integrity they would decide on an extreme situation and make sure it would work in another universe. That was when they contacted the US Navy and requested for a two SEAL teams to be available for their final testing. After realizing that this was a way to acquire unlimited resources they agreed and the secret plan was set.

It was August 9th 2014 when NASA would take the final step to sending people back in time, and the teams were about to receive their mission. Their mission in this universe was noble, but after that point they would begin using the ability to travel to other universes in times when the nations of the world couldn't fight back and they could achieve unlimited interdimensional wealth and travel. This corrupt secret operation knew what it was doing, but the two seal teams did not, for them they were left in the dark until the final day of testing. Then they would be told to do something for a noble cause.

I really want to do an RP about a bunch of airsofters who get a bunch of tacticool gear and pretend they're real special forces. Either that or a comedy RP about Coast Guardsmen.

We don't know that, really. I don't know any, do you?

But eh well, there was me hoping there'd be a RP about time-travelling seals.

I couldn't care less. Besides, SAS is way cooler.

I'm mildly tempted to make a Titans-are-my-trigger RP, though in an entirely different city, as they are implied to exist in the SnK-verse.

Would anyone be interested in a Mafia-type RP in a universe similar to Game of Thrones?

I have an idea for a roleplay, or rather the rules for it. The roleplay is basically a game where the rules of the roleplay are changeable if everyone wants the change. It is inspired by a game called Nomic. Any ideas on how to roleplay this?

It sounds a tad complicated, and more suitable for a forum game than an RP. The way I see it, unless the players RPed as a group of people playing the game (Which can work, if you pull it off well), it would consist entirely of out-of-character stuff. This is just my opinion, of course.

But anyway, as for ideas, I gave one up there: RP as the people playing the game. Note that this is only as broad as your definition of people. You could roleplay as some sort of intergalactic law-maker beings, or a bunch of knights in a contest for claiming the crown, or any number of things, really. That the focus of your roleplay happens to be the rules means that the setting is more flexible and allows for more variety regarding the characters.

A brief note that your chat thread is up and stickied - a sincere thank you to all the players who were involved with getting it going, formatting it, naming it, and requesting it to begin with. All I've done is take your work, and lend it an air of legitimacy for consistency's sake given the OP ownership guidelines. Hope it all works out well for everyone. :)

Never thought I'd see the day, but I stand corrected. Thanks, Nathi.

Yeah, I know some US Navy SEALS, they are honorable guys and their job is constantly abused to have them go and do bad things in the name of the US making more money, but if they refuse they get dishonorably discharged and if they talk about it they get 'confronted' about it.

Oh man, you're like the 30th person on NS I've seen who "knows some NAVY SEALs".

To be honest only two. And only one formally. He briefly joined the SEALs for a few missions but wasn't a real SEAL per se. However he worked with them enough to get the idea.
