So, yeah.. that RP I had in mind didn't really take off. Anyone got a good fantasy/adventure RP that they're running and have an open slot in?

There's Postapocalyptia, if you're interested. Not as much fantasy as it is adventure, though.

Well, my RP is fantasy adventure, I like to think it's good, and it's open. Take a look if you're interested.

RP's Overarching Concept: A race of magical people are the Earth's only defense against an impending demonic invasion.

of the Otherworld where daemons come from. The best and brightest Nephillim are gathered and taught at Poe Academy, a secret magik school near N`awlins.

What do you need help with:The OP, backstory, and getting people interested, and I want to know if I should add or remove anything in the "application" for the RP.

It seems that you have a good idea. The concept was enough to grab my attention for a moment. However, as I went to your OOC I noticed it was rather lacking. You could expand on many things. The Campus, for example. What kind of equipment do the regualr classrooms have? What about the 'special' ones? How are dormitories arranged? What's around the Campus, besides this Magikal shield you mentioned? You could also elaborate on the other parts of the story. The school, for example. What's its history? What are the classes you mention in that spoiler like? What was Edgar Allan Poe like, as a Nephilim? Has the school had any notable events in its history other than its founding?

Regarding the rest of the lore, it's interesting, but very little is explained. You never did say much about the Nephilim themselves, or the Elders, or why the Ancients left save Jehovah. Or how students get to the school, for that matter.

Overall, it's a good idea, in my opinion, but it doesn't have a lot of information to hook up potential players and make them sign up. You ought to work on that.

I noticed you call the spoilers 'booklets'. Perhaps you could use some booklets as inspiration on how to redact the information you put in them and such.

RP INTEREST AND FEEDBACK REQUEST

RP's Overarching Concept: The basic premise is that an Alien Invasion in 1989 has brought the world to a stand-still. Nations are scrambling to mobilize their Arsenal of Weapons as the alien menace approaches.
Genre/s: Sci-Fi, Alternate History, Action, a little bit of drama
Character or Faction Based: A mix of both
Detailed Description: The basic premise is that an Alien Invasion in 1989 has brought the world to a stand-still. Nations are scrambling to mobilize their Arsenal of Weapons as the alien menace approaches. An enemy that knows no fear, no emotion, and no mercy. An enemy that doesn't know the word: Surrender. The Story will largely explore the years Immediately after the Initial Invasion, and the Immediate resistance of the Human race, as nations band together. Tossing aside religious, Ideological, and Ethnic differences to face a common enemy. An enemy that only has one thing in mind: Our Extinction.

Need Help With: Getting attention to it, some feedback, and of course, advise. and questions if you have any

Please leave this hashtag in place: #Mentorhelp

It's not an unique concept but you put an interesting spin on it, what with the 'excerpts' and everything. I don't think there's a whole lot I could say, except perhaps that you could add information about the alien invaders that attacked, and the aftermath of their first assault, so as to give your players a better idea of the state the world is in after that.

For garnering interest, since it's just an interest thread right now I think you should just keep it for some time, bump it, see if someone else is interested, ask your people to spread the word. I would hope this ad you put here helps too.

How bout an rp where notable figures throughout time were taken into one timeline by futuristic people and let them react as they would and then mix that with a zombie apocalypse. Of course, they'd get their bodyguards.

I was thinking about an RP that takes place in WW2 France and you play as a Resistance fighter or a British SAS agent.

Note- Since I know crap about Star Wars, I am Oping this with a friend (Brusia) who is a star wars fan and would be a better OP than me, I'll probably just manage the IC and OOC if he's busy. I am limiting myself to this one RP. I will try to do that as hard as I can.

RP INTEREST AND FEEDBACK REQUEST
Please provide as much detail as possible.
RP's Overarching Concept: A Star Wars RP where we play as companies in a Imperial Stormtrooper regiment during the Galactic Civil war.
Genre/s: Space Opera (What Star Wars is), Action, war.
Character or Faction Based: Depends on how you look at it, if people want to play from their company commander POV they can, if they want to just control their troop moment, they can.
Detailed Description: I basically already described it, as Brusia is making the OP, though I may note, we possibly will play as the 501st. For those interested, prepare to kill some Rebel scum. :D

Need Help With: Maybe the plot, maybe.

Alright people, this is my proposal here, to initiate the construction of a new genre of RP, the magneto-punk genre, the idea that in this genre, everything is electro-magnetically powered and alternative energy is more commonly used in the place of fossil fuels. In fact, it is more of a societal shunning of all who use such archaic tools that will be a key factor.

Here's the idea, roll back about two hundred years, and somehow some massive changes were made in how we thought of electricity that we accidentally became more further advanced in the usage of alternative energy source like wind and water turbines alongside solar panels, that coal and other fossil fuels were rendered obsolete within the next few decades and by the 1900's, coal was a thing of the far past.

To state another of my RP ideas, I'm thinking we RPing some average folks who sets in this alternative history below:

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/M ... eChina1912
http://www.changingthetimes.net/samples ... meline.htm

In other words, what is like to live in that alternative history (Perhaps a Cold War between Imperial China and USA or not? ) or we might do something else but the story sets in it?

Why go to London? Keep it across the pond and throw in a Chuck Norris-flavored bad guy?

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

Yeah, I was debating on whether or not to keep it in London or go to the US, the US just doesn't have that "magical" feel to it like an older country like England has. But I don't see any reason why we couldn't have it in the US otherwise.
