I think it's a bullheaded and ineffective way to fix anything; great way to piss people off, though.

Because I do sometimes take part in important discussions. And I don't think I'm really making pointless cracks at the moment (besides the above) as much as I am actively taking part in a discussion above improving RPs as a whole.

Detailed Description: It is 2030, and the world has been recently almost annihilated by a new, deadly nano-virus that has accidently escaped CDC's most hidden laboratory. It had the ability to replicate three, deadly diseases, mainly smallpox, ebola and anthrax. It was almost about to be cured before the nanovirus has managed to completely corrupt the built-in kill-switch, rendering the broadcast completely useless. The nano-virus was made for the pure intention of using it as a biological weapon against Russia.

All the countries of the world has suffered, with no more remaining other than a post-apocalyptic world. You are one of the 'Immune' people in UAE. You remember that the last research scientists has moved to the last base, which was Abu Dhabi, as a last resort, and now they have failed. You are currently asymptomatic, which is possible to stay that way for years before the nanovirus activates in your system, without a doubt killing you.

Unless you manage to fix the kill-in switch and resume the broadcast, that is. With the help of the other survivors in the same city as yours, you might not feel lonely at all, for a while. You never know if Abu Dhabi is actually the last city that still has a living population.

In all seriousness, we should identify these nails. Once we have, then we're on the first step to improving RP quality as a whole. And yes, I shall turn this into a science: nail theory.

First, we must define nail. Nail: a conspicuous issue with an RP.
Hammer: to hammer nails in, as in to fix issues with an RP.
Hammerer: one who assists a prospective OP with hammering his nails.
Coffin: the RP as a whole.

To start simply, one nail is: Grammar. Bad grammar is unacceptable in the average conversation, let alone an RP. The best way to hammer this nail is simple: point out errors. Repeatedly. Until the OP stops making as many grammatical errors.

Joining bad RPs in order to correct them... I like the idea. Might go do that at some point, actually...

I'm not the one who proposed an invasion of RPs, that was actually Neo. I just suggested making an explanation as to why bad RPs are exactly that.

And then there's the part about how the best way to fix bad grammar is to tell the OP to, but I didn't explicitly mention to go in the thread and announce it out to the world (A TG does just as good, but the OP should ask for help before we help).

What are the CDC and the UAE? And what is the kill-switch? I think maybe part of the reason you didn't get a lot of interest is that people didn't really understand some parts. How do the players know about the kill-switch, for example?

The CDC is obviously the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. When they made the agency, they decided their motto was "fuck the letter P".
And the UAE? Everyone (yes, even uncontacted tribesmen in the Amazon jungle) know that's the United Arab Emirates.
