Anybody got advice?

No, I mean literally. There's a huge bunch of RPs around. Why should we join yours? Tell us.
Putting an ad in your sig might help too, but only if you make it look appealing, instead of the usual "forum/nationstates/viewtopicwhatever - my rp, pls join."

Ah, you were being literal with that!
Well, I didn't intend to turn this into an ad, but it's an originally crafted universe that I developed originally with a friend, but it has a lot of potential for interesting character RP, especially with the higher eschelon politics and rulers. It has the potential for amazingly detailed military engagement RP's that will leave satisfaction in all sides. There's many cultural elements you can determine for the nation you control. There's ends of the spectrum in my RP for everyone: Monarchists, Communists, Fascists, Corporatists, and plain ol' Rebels. I have high hopes for it, I just need people.

Nat: Night's always in some bizarre state somewhere between "intoxicated enough to kill a hair metal lead singer" and "annoying Mormon missionary sober".
Swith: It's because you're so awesome. God himself refreshes the screen before he types just to see if Nightkill has written anything while he was off somewhere else.

Anyway, back on topic, I was thinking of making an RP where every possible history came true (via the infinite universe theory, or the multiverse theory), then, something happens, and all these timelines merge.
Oh, and lots of shooty things.
(The Doctor did not accidentally break space.... this time)

What's the setting? Is it a nation or character RP? Has it got elements that make it stand out in comparison to the usual genre?
Feel free to tell us more.

That's an incredibly wide and extensive setting. Being vague about it won't help you. So, tell us more.

I haven't really worked more out than that (been quite busy), but I was thinking like for example,
WW1 Resulted in German Victory: No UK, No WW2, No Soviet Union, No Cold War, No Nukes, No PRC, etc etc
WW2: Nazi Victory: New York and Chicago Nuked, the world bows to Nazi Germany, etc etc
Stuff like that, and one player gets to play each timeline.
Like, what if the Romans beat the Huns? What if the Chinese beat the Mongols? What if t-54/55s rolled into Western Europe? What if Britain defeated the American uprising?
Stuff like that.
Its true history and alternate history at the same time.

Who would the protagonists be? Would they have a task or long-term goal?

Protagonists would technically be everyone (via their own propaganda), the goal for the mostly true history people would most likely be defending themselves from the alternate history. (By mostly true history, I mean the worlds where 9/11 did not happen, The Bundy Standoff ended in gunfire; etc etc, something very close to the setting of 2015)

It's kinda confusing. Could you give a summary of everything, again?
As a general guideline, people, strive not to be too much vague or uninformative when you advertise your RPing ideas. Sure, a little bit of mystery can be enticing, but too much and people won't even understand what you're trying to sell to them.

Ok. Here is more in-depth:
I am thinking about doing a character based RP in NYC. It would be set in the future in the year 2158. It would involve crime and the stock exchange. It would also involve everything people love in NYC. It would also involve futuristic technology. Maybe some wars between countries. Any ideas?
