High Concept: Biohazard: Japan
Genre/s: Action Horror
Detailed Description: It's 2005, almost 7 years after the Raccoon City Incident. There has been some mysterious experiments in Japan, particularly in Hokkaido, in a small city in the south of Hokkaido. It's been said that the experiments involving former Umbrella scientists that are still alive and well, and funded by an unknown sponsor.

It's December 31st of 2005, when the outbreak happened in Hokkaido. No one knows why or when that happened. By January 10th of 2006, half of Hokkaido had been decimated, either by the outbreak, or riots. What left from the survivors are now heading to the main island of Japan. Will you survive or will you turn into one of the zombies? Time will tell. Beware though, there are zombies, creatures, and even deranged citizens bend on killing you.

Look behind you.

I guess I just need to shelve my idea of Mecha RP and promoting this first, a Biohazard RP.

So this is mostly just a zombie apocalypse rp in Japan?

So yeah.

So yeah.

I'd say "Go for it".

See if you can find someone willing to co-OP, especially since your English isn't the best and you could use someone to make sure translation issues don't become a problem. Also, having co-OPs you can trust can be very useful.

Tiami is cool.

Nope. Also I'm a he, but most of the time I RP female characters.

Anyway, for RP ideas, I was reading about the Chasseurs Ardennais recently, which is a unit from the Belgian army that held off the German army for 20 days despite being severely outnumbered when they invaded Belgium at the start of WWII. I'd love to do an RP based on a similar premise but in an alt-Cold War, modern or near future setting.

Hmm...I willing to make it into the light. But...my OPing skills is...bad. That's why I don't have the bravery to make one even though I have the will

So...there the Belgium 300? :p

So would this be character based? I'm assuming so, but how would you prevent simple "sh00t da bad guy cuz we 'Muricans", or something similar from happening?

Obviously character based. And I'd ask for RP samples unless it's someone I've been in an RP with before so I can keep out people who can't write at least a paragraph.

Now the only problem is how to convince Americans to RP as soldiers that aren't American because I'd want to do this with a small European military that has no business being able to hold off a Soviet/Russian invasion for more than a couple days.

Some specific ideas off of the top of my head, if you want them:

1. Danish military forces - mostly local militia, probably - fighting to hold Bornholm Island against a WarPac amphibious invasion as part of a general war between NATO and the Pact. Maybe there could be added stakes to the general war as a whole - like maybe...a crucial anti-ship missile installation on the island preventing a Soviet naval breakout from the Baltic into the North Sea, requiring it be held at all costs?

2. Norwegian forces (you could even SpecForce-wank if you wanted it to and include the legendary Norwegian Rangers) trying to hold Kirkenes or the Trondheim Gap against an overwhelming Soviet armored attack coming south towards Narvik and Oslo.

Nordic countries seem to lend themselves the easiest to this sort of thing.

This is my RP...I'm just posting this here to see if I can generate some more interest.

Greetings Fellow Practitioner,

You are cordially invited to join us at the

372nd Choosing Ceremony

To be held at The Grand Resort Lagonissi in Athens, Greece
on Friday the 31st of October of the 2014th Year of Our Mother and The Moon
The Ceremony will begin at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.

The proceedings will be presided over by
Nefertiti, The Council of Elders,
and
The Headmasters and Headmistresses of the Five Greater Arts

Within this pamphlet you will find:

Airline tickets for you and your Guardian. If other members of your family would like to witness your Choosing they are expected to make their own arrangements.

The information you will need to provide to check into your hotel suite.

A schedule of events for the Summit.

A detailed history of each School of Magick and their current leaders.

Please make sure to be on time, due to the volume of students we expect to be taking into consideration this year, we will not be accepting anyone for late admission. No exceptions.

Since the beginning of Time there have been Magick users such as us that have roamed the world. Over the years we have formed ourselves into Five Major Disciplines formed by individual Sects, within these Sects are Families in which that Discipline is known to most occur, being born to one Family does not necessarily mean that you will belong to the Discipline that most of the Family does. The Choosing is based on the Individual.

The Five Major Disciplines are as follows:

Magicus Naturis- To be one with the natural world is a difficult thing, perfected by the Families that make up the Nature clan of Magi. They are known to be a peaceful and helpful lot, however, they are fearsome when crossed. Most Followers of this Discipline serve as Acolytes to The Great Goddess. Their leader is: Yet to be Decided

Magicus Technologicarae- This clan of Magi knows the ins and outs of technology the way most of us dream. They are said to have invented much technology that they will not take credit for. They are known most for their documentation and genealogical work. Most Followers of this Discipline serve as Historians and Chroniclers or Scholars or Teachers. Their leader is: Lorenzo "Il Mascherato" Alcaterin

Magicus Summonae- The Summoners are a powerful and fearsome clan of Magi whose Families are more often in blood feuds than not. This is the clan that deals most with the realm of spirits and provides Familiars for the young Magi. They are the most attuned to the spiritual world. Most Followers of this Discipline serve as Mediums, Seers, and Spiritual Guides. The most advanced Seers act as Watchers and report magical behavior to the Enforcers. Their leader is: Seiji Tsuchimikado

Magicus Vodun- The Voodoo practitioners are a powerful and secretive clan made up of some of the oldest Families of our history. Followers of this Discipline serve as Lawmakers, Enforcers, and Protectors. Their leader is: Marie Laveau

Magicus Lingua- This Clan is the most well known and most visible of the Five Major Disciplines. Their Magick is dependant on their will and their knowledge of language. They are most easily integrated into the non-magickal community and many have non magickal spouses. The Followers of this Discipline have a large realm of options to choose from in manners of how they serve. Many are Treasurers, Teachers, and Artisans. The Royal Family is dedicated to this Discipline. Their leaders are: Voxania Laeus Ziaeni and Alexandre Caius Vazel

There are many Minor Disciplines and those of you that do not fit into one of the Major Disciplines will be schooled here. Their leader is: Taken by Thomas "Deus" Warfield

When you are presented to the panel you will be Measured and asked to perform Five Tasks. Depending on your performance and the Color of the Staff of Merlinus Ambrosious, the leader who thinks you will do best among their Discipline.

The second idea was actually something I already thought of myself. The first idea seems like it would be a load of terrified conscripts, which I think would be a lot of fun to write about but don't know what others would think of that.

It'd be an interesting change of pace.
Hell, you could even go entirely in a different direction from the second half of my suggestion there (about raising the stakes) - and have there be literally no importance to the battle to the wider war at all. A totally isolated backwater, cut off from help, staffed by inexperienced and underequipped conscripts, effectively abandoned by NATO and the US, fighting right on their own doorsteps to defend their homes (nothing more or less) from a vastly larger and more powerful force.

That'd be a new Cold War story for sure. You're always talking about how sick you are of war RPs fetishizing American special forces - well, this is about as far as you can practically get away from that.

I remember posting this here a while ago and not getting very much feedback. I started working on it again, and I was wondering what y'all thought of this idea of mine.

The Nation of Hay wrote:RP Interest App Form

High Concept: Players, associated the with various factions inhabiting a post-apocalyptic Louisiana, will duke it out against a tyrannical government, vicious bands of raiders, and each other, all the while working to figure out the secrets to a... secret.
Genre/s: Post-apocalyptic, action / adventure
Detailed Description: So, basically, the Cold War turned nuclear. Most of the major cities in the world got nuked, leaving only rural areas and third-world countries populated. Now, 100 - 200 50 years later, the world is beginning to rebuild. Sort of. For the majority of the time between now and the nuking, a large part of the central U.S (as well as Louisiana, where this takes place) were heavily irradiated and, therefore, uninhabitable, due to the vast amounts of nuclear wast flowing through the Mississippi River and its tributaries. But recently, people have started to move down the river and settle around old New Orleans. Since then, a tyrannical / fascist / police state government has taken control and is now oppressing people, 'n' shit.

There's also some anarchists, some raiders, and quite possibly some left over Communists. Also, no mutants. Or zombies.
