Agritum, what are you trying to accomplish? Elsa would be an old hag by the end of it.

I'm trying to insert critique of Christianity and religious sectarianism into your Disney, Pret.

I am intrigued by this Thirty Years War Disney idea. I wrote my undergrad dissertation on the early modern history of the Habsburgs, and the Thirty Years War is a special interest of mine.

France exists in the Disney canon, thanks to Beauty and The Beast and Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Can't say the same about Germany, Bohemia, the Netherlands and other large chunks of Europe, unfortunately.

I believe Rapunzel is set in whatever the Disney equivalent of Germany is. They just don't explicitly call it that.

Well, Frozen has three ambassador characters who the credits say are French, Spanish and Irish, so those parts exist, at least. I've heard talk that the Southern Isles is Denmark, where The Little Mermaid is also theorized to be set.

Indeed.

Regarding the British isles, England is confirmed to exist, with the legend of King Arthur being real. Merida's kingdom is supposed to be Scotland.

Regarding the Middle East, well, there's Agrabah, which is apparently either in Arabia or in Modern Iraq. And the black kingdom from the Princess and The Frog, which I guess is something like Ethiopia.

Regarding the far east, China is confirmed to exist, along with the Mongol Hordes. So does India, where animals can actually talk with humans. No news about Japan, unfortunately.

You could try looking into the Youngstown variant of Diplomacy, it includes the rest of the world and the colonial empires, so it might be worth checking out.

I might just do that. My goal isn't to create an exact carbon copy of a Diplomacy boardgame, but rather to replicate the feel of backstabbing, tangling alliances and realpolitik's influence on the dynamics of the European politics.

In all honesty, the 'negotiation followed by simultaneous turns' mechanic is probably the best way to do that. Beyond that, you could probably put on some extra flavouring to alter the balance of power between individual players, or even start adding in randomness, I feel like as long as you keep the simultaneous turns yo can keep a lot of the entangling alliances/realpolitik going.

Just a thought from all this talk about mecha.

By sheer coincidence, I have recently started playing ValChron II and III by means of emulator, and now love the series.

I would make such an RP, but I'm unsure what year it would be in. Also kinda short on time.

At what point technologically would a Valkyrur stop being tactically OP as fuck? 1970s?

You could always place it during the war before the first game.

The first, the Federation and Ebul Empire had a war, and I think the ebul empire won.

It's be a long time.

You could just not involve Valkyrurs. It's not like they're that common. If it is still an issue, then include an America expy to offset the OP-ness, and also include Japan expy for the lulz.

Ehh, no to the first. I could make a Freedomland expy, but I'd have to do extra worldbuilding.

And SEGA accidentally merged VC!Japan into Europa somehow.

All worth the cost. Empire and/or Federation bombs Freedomland harbor, Freedomland and Wutai allies declare war.
