I'll have to ask the guy who created the Superpowers, which one was the United States of Asia, but I changed it to the United Asian States, to avoid confusion.

Yes. Because obviously rigged elections will lead to everyone accepting that they all suddenly love China. Rather the general suspicion and fear that is the undercurrent of China's interactions with East, Southeast and South Asian nations.

China is making efforts to be more liked in its area, but considering the fact they try to claim their borders are far larger than they are, this does not at help their case.

Add to the fact they have a frankly insane debt and corruption, and that also hurts them badly. And their rhetoric and entering Indian territory repeatedly and generally being cunts...Nobody is overly fond of China.

Even Singapore, which is 70% ethnic Chinese, looks toward the West.

From the look of the RP he did with me, China formed the United Asian States because....it doesn't say, but I'm guessing because....um....they want to....secure their economy? Yes? No? Maybe?

I'm going to assume it didn't take place in the 2014 range...I don't think that matters.

Gundam 00 didn't seem to think so with the Human Reform League. Hell, they dragged in India as a Chinese client (along with Siberia, both Koreas and the entirety of SEA). Japan was apparently the exception, being placed in a US-led sphere, but I guess it's expected of an anime. :/

Response:
The forces waved at the Americans, setting up for the American's trickshots. They began to record the scene, calling the Americans faggots, and threatening to have sexual relationships with their mothers. They begin by insulting the Americans, calling them noobs, and saying they are bad.

Drop the whole United Asian States thing and just have China invade the shit out of its neighbors, annexing them. You now have your SE Asian superpower; it is called China.

I wanted it to be an divergence starting with a short war(It lasted only a few days) between a Soviet Army Group and a combined Western task force an a failed UN/US invasion of China, possibly during the Korean War.

Back to the drawing board.
