Still, there should at least be some kind of a community-building thing. Agri is right. We're too disparate. Something should happen to bring at least a few different groups together. It'd improve RP recruiting, I think, if people weren't just sticking to the same cliques. And there'd be other benefits as well. Need a break from one set of people? There's another set over there. *nods*

I agree, I don't feel overtly comfortable with posting on here all the time, you guys seem to know each other so well it's kinda hard for someone relatively new to the group (even if they're not new to RPing itself) to join in and feel comfortable (same for some of your RP's). I've already had to move groups twice since I started on NS because the others either gave up on RPing or moved to F7/General and now rarely leave there.

I can somewhat understand where you're coming from. It was a weird transition going from being in fairly insignificant II stuff for the most part to accidentally joining one of F7/P2TM's most "prestigious" RP's where everybody else already knew each other.

Does anyone think a nice and logical Star Wars RP would be successful?
I have two ideas, with each being total opposites of the other. Well, almost opposites. These ideas are based off of the Expanded Universe, with the last known comics/books/lore as a reference. For those who don't know, the three main factions of the galactic stage (which are: the non-sith Empire, the New Republic, and the New Jedi order) are no longer at each other's throats as usual. Odd, isn't it? The three have formed an alliance consisting of all their ideals, which is dubbed the Galactic Triumvirate. In short, the people no longer shoot at each other but now stab each other in the back like decent men and women do- in politics!
Any ways, I would like to state that in the RP's I'm making the Triumvirate shatter like all great alliances do in the end. The three powers will be on their own and separate, with the Jedi attempting to distance themselves from the intergalactic hostilities in hopes that things will work out by itself. Meanwhile, both the New Rep and the Empire engage in a cold war which is soon to be hot!

Idea I: This idea is character-based. The players will join up with the captain of a private vessel (the OP's character), either looking for work or by a hilarious coincidence. The gang hops all over the galaxy getting into trouble and looking for loot and BS.

Idea II: This idea is faction-based. Players will assume the role of their faction's leader and troops/politicians and wage war and make alliances.

well I had an idea:

it would be set during the clone wars, both sides are deploying many new commanders and Jedi/deark jedi/etc too the front, so players take control of OC characters, each player has two characters, for the Republic players a jedi and a clonecommander(or a non clone officer) while CIS players will have a General (cyborg or whatever) while they have a second in command, could be a banking clan offical or someone else like a command droid.

they then fight progressive battles and sieges during the war and yadda yadda yadda sometimes crossing over with the main characters of the clone wars series
(tho player character won't be as experienced as mains.)

then they would just RP their characters till order 66, where Republic characters can decide if their clone kills their Jedi (where in the sequel of the RP would have their Jedi replaced by an Imperial Officer) or rebel and join their Jedi with the soon to be formed Rebel Alliance while their legion tries to kill them.

CIS commanders would go into hiding with alot of their droid forces biding their time in a struggling rebellion trying to keep their hold on small planets or surrender to the new Empire and gain command of some small forces of Stormtroopers.

what do you guys think? anyone interested?
