[The Ferret Revolution]

That's how my Realm of Madness RP died, both times. It's simply a fact that most successful RPs have this beginning stage. It's useful for characters meeting one another and simply developing interaction. However if you lack a way to pull everyone together and start a plot when it's necessary it's going to die. The main problem in ROM was there was really nothing pulling our characters together.

I generally like things to be able to happen fluently and on it's own rather then me just kinda using my OPly powers to push everyone into the same alley for tea and crumpets. The main problem was that all of our characters simply had nothing tying us to each other. Some of us were rebels, one was a scientist, one worked for the queen, other were aristocrats, and some were even talking animals. It's hard for characters like that to find common ground to come together.

Yes wrestling, and not the kind with The Undertaker, John Cena, and the like, but real, honest-to-goodness wrestling. For we are not frauds. We are athletes, who pour our blood, sweat, tears, time, and overall livelyhood into the sport. For those of you who expected a Batista Bomb, you may leave, but for those brave men and women, to whom the sound of the ending bell that occurs after the pin is pure music like that of myth, then welcome, for WE ARE WRESTLERS!

Pro Wrestlers are Athletes just like you Amateur/Graeco-Roman Wrestlers, friend. They just engage in pre-determined matches designed for entertainment and entertainment firstly, rather than legitimate contests of technique and physical prowess. Even then, their sweat is just as real as the one shed by their sports colleagues.

After everyone acknowledges this, we can move on as a civilized society.

Take it from the Italians, they know how to wrestle.

That and when an RP is based around such a large area as ROM was I guess it was hard for people to figure out what to do in the beginning. Meanwhile in Sylvan, being a school, the area is much smaller and defined. Therefore people could meet each other more easily and everyone generally knows what to do when in a school.

So I decided to toss this idea out for the hell of it.

High Concept: Let's say people wandering the world that remained after an incomplete biblical apocalypse. Yes, that sounds mildly accurate.
Genre/s: I don't know, look below and judge yourself.
Detailed Description: So, there's the present day, okay? Or perhaps a few years into the future or what have you. Now, this world, it was designed with its end in mind. Aeons ago the Creator arranged the End with the Timeless Four, who then proceeded to slumber within Earth, awaiting the moment of its destruction. Back to the present day. The time is nigh... But it hasn't come yet. And it just so happens that a group of archeologists find an ancient structure buried beneath... I don't know. Australia. And they somehow, through sheer idiocy, manage to destroy the structure... And by association, the being sleeping within.

War.

When the End came, the remaining Timeless woke up... Only to find themselves lacking someone. Now let me tell you more about the End. The Creator, bless him, had arranged for the world to end with a bang, so to speak. There was to be a massive Endgame War of cosmological proportions.

But it never came, for obvious reasons.

Humanity didn't go out with a bang, but with a whimper. Pestilence plagued the land and Famine intensified, causing Death to claim millions as humanity stagnated, unable to go on. Demons led by the Shards of Lucifer spilled out onto the lands, while the wicked roamed the earth once again in unholy forms. The Angels fled from the Creator's world, believing the malfunctioning End to be an omen of worse things that were yet to come, leaving the world itself nearly defenseless and in utter turmoil, though the Creator did not complain, for he himself had long ago vanished. Time and space seemed to lose their meaning before this havoc, with strange energies entering the world. And one day, an enormous city, beautiful beyond words and yet shattered and incomplete, fell from the sky and crashed down onto the world, vanquishing everything below. Slowly but steadily, humanity was nearly purged from the face of Earth.

But Earth remained, and humans are known for their tenacity.

And so, in the ruins of a shattered world, where havoc was commonplace and demons and fallen thrived, life went on for mankind. It was tougher, but it was there.

Basically, the plot would be about the characters exploring this world while trying to find some way to restore it. It's the characters themselves I'm not entirely sure about. I don't know what to do with them. I could have them located on one of the cities that people managed to raise after the End, as citizens of that place, who venture out for whatever reason and find themselves implicated on some serious shit. My original plan was to have the Rapture malfunction instead of simply not happening, thus causing it to grab random people from around the present day (Or from before the End, rather), rather than believers, and toss them out somewhere in the world after the End, maybe Armaggedon itself.

So that's what I got. Suggestions are welcome, if anyone has any. Interest is appreciated too. Questions will be answered, if I have the answers.

I don't know; it sounds more interesting telling of the consequences of War's absence. (Were I to be honest, I would remove Death instead, if you go down that route.)

But that may not be the story you want to tell, which is of course fine.
