You know what I could really go for? An RP where you have to be a normal person. No magic, no superpowers, no Navy SEAL training, just normal people thrown into an abnormal situation like resisting a foreign occupation. Except then I have to rip off either Homefront, Red Dawn or the latest Call of Duty for the storyline because I can't come up with anything myself.

Switzerland flips its lid and occupies its immediate neighbors.

They launch an all-out assault on Luxembourg, who has to fight back with mechas.

About 20,000 people live inside the wall of Chicago, with at least one battalion of US military soldiers providing law and order. There are about 300-700 Fireflies in the city, fighting a losing war against the US military.

Before we get to the important stuff, I like to say something about supplies,weapons and ammo.

Unless you are military, you will have a limited supplies, and probably have have no more then one or two magazines for military grade weapons unless your military. If you are non-military or firefly/bandit, you will be limited to pistols only.

This takes place before Joel and Ellie's adventure.

As I always say, when you get an idea for a roleplay, don't do anything with it for a week. Let it sit in your head. Don't even write it down.

If it's still there after a week, then it may be worthwhile.

That's true. But it's possible he simply had so many drugs in his younger days that he forgot about where some of his giant stockpiles were.
