Can someone list the available nations again? (Compiled list of all of them in one post)

I did a quick search through the IC and I think that Spain, Qing China, the Ottomans and Italy are all free. There should also be some other parts of the world that might not have been played in the story. Scandinavia seems like it might be open as well.

Hope it helps. Sorry if any of those are not available. I just joined so I don't know if the current players have made some arrangements for any of those countries, but they all don't have an owner listed at the moment so I would guess they are available.

Persia..... In 1875 it wasn't exactly a Persian Empire or anything near to it, so I'd have to be allowed some AH for it to work. Would I be allowed to have reasonable AH using the point of departure of 1870?

Any thoughts on the Persia thing? Is AH allowed/worth it to make it viable, or should I just play something else?

After the defeat of Argentina, I don't think it should be considered a secondary power any longer. It barely holds the status of independent state.

The Ottoman Empire itself. Or Ethiopia (which is an Egyptian protectorate, but nevermind that), if not Spain or Italy.
