Ok. He will need to find out and prove that he is mane. I imagine the search for the next Mane would be an event that outside forces might be very interested in, being that the Mane has great influence in Elsweyr. It could turn into a proxy struggle between the Empire and the Aldmeri Dominion.

Putting my two cents on the table... it could be like what happened to the Panchen Lama, the monk directly below the Dalai Lama, he dissapeared at the age of seven and no-one has heard from him while the Chinese-backed Lama retains the official (but not religious title). So what about an impostor? A false Mane which was born on the same day as Ja'Sai, maybe backed by the Aldmeri Dominion as you mentioned, as the search for a Dalai Lama has never extended into a Dalai Lama's teenage years.

Apart from that, I apologize for not posting all week.

Have you ever procrastinated and not done what you are supposed to do? Apart from anything I might be forgetting, I love three things to the point of near obsession; these three are a good story, games (mostly video games but I include RP and some sports in this category, namely, tennis), and H-stuff. Without getting into a detailed discussion, this completed two of these three things (and I would much rather prefer it that way, fyi). However, I take too much time with the third option as I had trained myself to finish, erm, as quick as possible, so it's a conflict of interest which I only recently noticed. I would like to stop it, but then again, I would also like to re-train myself to last as long as possible. I do school online, so I have too much free time in my hands (which is countered by the fact that I have a year's worth of core classes ahead for my grade, but am still on the first semester), so instead of RP'ing (which was originally done to counter my you-know-what), I went back to playing games (which is surprisingly fun on it's own), and am struggling to finish by the end of summer so that I can get my driver's license and work for a car (high dreams for a bs economy). I also get lost in creative things such as learning to code (I mostly self-taught myself to read and write HTML, CSS, and have learned very basic Java-script & C++), making RPG Maker Games, and trying to discover new ways to do things; for example, now I want to try to make 3D Models using DAZ 3D), even trying to draw once, since I love art but can't produce it. I also make signs and decals with vinyl for my parent's shop (sounds like much, but it's not really that big, it just meets the definition of a shop), which includes the duty of selling them.

Not that I have any problems with PE or ED, or anything of the such. It's just that my timing is much less than what I would like it to be, and when I have my first, I don't want to start and finish with my hands (which I say to avoid becoming too explicit); rather, I would like to finish last, if I can't time it just right, which I imagine I won't.

So there you go, my apologies for not posting all week, the reason why, and hopefully a post from me in the IC thread. If you stayed and read the whole thing, I would also like to thank you for it, my procrastination and shyness (dunno why, I used to model and pose to the cameras when I kid, I have a great self-image, and in a good shape [according to a study in the mid-80's, doing 37-38 push-ups in one go is at the top 15 percent of those in my age group, although I'll soon change age in July 7th, but I can do 41 on a normal day, also do about 10 reps of 20 pounds in bicept curls, I think about average for my age; I am skinny enough for my ribs to show when I deeply inhale, but fat enough to be in the 50-75 percentile in a BMI scale, and just about everyone gets along with me if I don't start speaking politics]), usually get the best of me, especially since I have a large sense of pride (though I don't display it), and this prevents me from speaking about it; sometimes even admitting it.

EDIT: A post is in the making.

Procrastination is a big problem for me, it doesn't even need to be big I'll still put it off. When I do get around to doing it I'll swear to myself it'll never happen again, it always does.

The common tongue of Tamriel is Tamrielic. All dragons would probably speek Ehlnofex, the parent language of nearly all languages of Tamriel. For one to learn to speak Tamrielic would be like an Italian learning to speak Spanish.

Dovahzul, the magical language of Thu'um, would not be spoken in normal conversation, but it is even more closely related to Tamrielic, both being directly related to Nordic.

True, ehlnofex and Dovahzul would probably interchangeable where dragons are concerned.

So Ehlnofex is similar to Tamrielic and all dragons know Ehlnofex but not Tamrielic. Do some speak Tamrielic?

I think a better analogy would be a Roman learning to speak Italian :p (since dragons came back from the dead and all)

Jokes aside, does this mean that there are regional languages for men? I mean, if Tamrielic is the language used by the Empire, does this mean that there are still other languages such as Nordic and Breton? I thought about it while making my app, but thought that everyone spoke the same language (again, just humans), since I originally planned for my character to be asked about his accent; plus, the opportunity to RP a horrible spy. Would you imagine the hilariousness of a Breton spy in a Nordic party, but with absolutely no knowledge of the Nordic language?

Nevermind, I found this. Posting it for future reference, although it should be taken with only slightly more consideration than a pinch of salt; the chart itself says "Speculative".

Latin would be a closer analogy to Ehlnofex, though Ehlnofex is really more like Indo-European. Spanish and Italian are a closer analogy of the similarities between Nordic, Tamrielic and Dovahzul. Sorry about the confusion.

Dovahzul and Tamrielic both grew from Nordic, so are similar to each other and have about the same amount of similarity to Nordic. When playing Skyrim, I always assume any Dragon I can understand must be speaking Nordic.

As to the question of Dragons knowing Tamrielic, there's no reason a Dragon can't learn any language he wants to know. Jel would be the hardest language, but Dragons are thousands of years old and have had time to learn.

How's the RP going? I created an app quite long ago, but I didn't have enough time to put into writing posts. I might attempt to rejoin if that's possible.
