She is one of the worst kinds of officers.

Well honestly there are those kinds of people all over the place, but they get theirs eventually. Karma is a vengeful bitch.

My fucking supply officers don't even keep count of what they give out to cadets. Last year I got hit with a metaphorical brick to the face because some dipshit actually deceived the idiot in charge of supply to give him rank for a Cadet Lt Col. I'm the Battalion Commander that somehow got stuck filling in for a Company commander, which means I can get my ass chewed out twice as much. Long story short nobody even asked the kid how he got Lt Col until the end of the damn year.
He couldn't even call columns or flanks on the right damn foot.

Yeah see, that kind of thing doesn't happen in CAP. You have to pass a lot of tests, and we do pay attention to that kind of thing. Our squadron (and I as an officer) are pretty lax though, but it's because if we were as hard on our Cadets as some of the other squadrons, we'd probably have less than 5 Cadets stick it out. One of my Cadet Staff Sergeants is a total bitch and doesn't like to take orders or criticism. She pulled the worst thing and I wanted to chew her out so bad, but one of the Senior Members did it before me, so there was no sense beating the dead horse.

I used to be part of a military training programme, and the people in there told me one thing -- ignore people whenever possible.

This means not taking things personally. Of course one still must follow orders, but the good side is that you're not responsible if the order turns out to be wrong. And when that happens, you'd get the last laugh to see your own commanding officer told off.

I wouldn't mind being an Armor Officer. But then the rest of my crew would murder me because I would be subjecting them to Nordicist rants around the clock.

We try to promote respect in CAP, so when a Cadet calls me a douchebag behind my back to the other prospects of cadets that may join, I get mad. She's one of those 'entitled' teenagers that think the world owes them everything.

Malik Velkari, 8 years old, Male, Tescorosso, King of Alegeharia
Malik Velkari is a fluffy bipedal digitigrade creature that is an angel hailing from the planet Celeste. He belongs to the kingdom of Alegeharia and has a brother known as Aither Velkari. The Tescorosso breed is a mix of red panda, wolf, and german shepherd. In some aspects Malik is a bit of a time traveler, being an archangel from the frost realm (Prince to King Arend) he has been alive since 1304.
Celeste is FT based, but in the year of 2021, it is currently ranging temps in 65-75 Fahrenheit. The planet is Earth like, and space faring. It hides its future tech within Medieval architecture and magic to appear less advanced.

Why is it that when I try to picture Verdum in uniform, the image of a Wehrmacht commander on the Eastern Front, shouting orders in Deutsch, come to mind?

I wore an Iron Cross on my uniform one time to see how everybody would react, my friend Jasper bet me I wouldn't do it.
They saluted me with "Sieg Heil~!" in the hallways or when an instructor wasn't looking.
It.
Was.
Hilarious.

My father was in the army. One time, while he was sleeping, one of his friends took a sharpie to his upper-lip. When the seargent saw him, he ordered him to go look in the mirror, after asking "What the hell is on your face?"

One of the few awesome things he ever partook in.

My mother was in the military too, but ended up pregnant with me. That was the end of that. >.>

My uncle was in the reserves. From what he said, they put him in a gas chamber and made him take off his mask. Then they made him do it again because they were sadistic bastards. Guess that's just training, but two times sounds too much.

Other than that, my family has managed to stay out of wars. At least up to the great-grandparents.

My family has a bad habit of joining in wars started by Germany/Prussia.

Every member of my family, even the drug addicts, have done something to stand out from the rest. My grandmother, aunt, and cousin have dreams about certain things (my grandmother about her grandchildren, my aunt about great-grandmother's death, and cousin about grandfather's death.) my parents and uncle were in the army. My other uncle is a nurse. I think that's one reason I wouldn't mind taking the ROTC and trying for an armored officer or artillery officer. Chance to be like them.

And goddamn when did I become a wuss? :palm:

We're talking about our elders in the military now? Okay I'm bored. My grandfather was in the Navy, if I recall, he got his Purple Heart in Okinawa. My great grandfather was in the Great War, and that's about all of I know of him. In fact I don't really know much about my great grandfather, other than that, and that he immigrated to the US from Lithuania. :P

Just finished watching Vikings.

Ragnar's village got raided.

Wow.
Much justice.
Such retribution.
Very karmic.
So about time.
Wow.
